Re: Pokerdb and the IRS
it's kinda funny, but the bizzaro way they do this, combined with the bizzaro way my state (oklahoma) does income tax makes it worthwhile to do claim my winnings.
Here's the deal: I was in the...

Re: Tournament Management Software for Macs?
I think it is doubtful that Tournament director will work on macs. If it does, It's great. Check with the author though. Even though it is browser-based around Internet Explorer, it's one of those...

Re: Going to Vegas, argggh!
If you are into tourneys, The Plaza is ok. We stayed there in November. They have decent tourneys at 7 and midnight (basically $100 with the rebuy/addon for the midnight, and like $70 for the 7...

Re: Bubble Hand in Stars 180. Stop and Go?
thanks Lloyd. In retrospect, I think I should have folded. I really wasn't taking into account that it came from such early position, so it had to be a pretty decent hand that is likely to call.

Re: Splitting the MTT Forum
Hey, one thing I've noticed is, posts in the second or third page tend to not get replies/die pretty quickly. I changed my preferences to show 30 topics per page (myHome-> Display Preferences) and...

Bubble Hand in Stars 180. Stop and Go?
Here's a hand I had recently I'm wondering maybe the spot for a stop and go. For me it was an easy push, but a player/friend in my home game disagreed. He said he would call and then fire at any flop...

Re: Playing too less hands in Tournament?
well, you need to learn to blind steal. With blinds of 50/100, you don't need 400 for a blind steal. Personally, I've changed my opening raise to 2.5x bb (so 250 here). It works fine for steals and...

as a former waiter, I'll tell you. There is an ala carte items for adults. The kids menu is for kids, so you don't have to pay full price for a meal they probably won't eat. The kids meals are...

Re: So I\'m the chip leader...SB playalong
I have a question.. do you not think the MP makes this same play with a A9, A8, JK, JQ, or small PP often enough to make it profitable? For the record, I would call. even if we lose, we have a good...

Re: Dear Lee Jones; Volume II
I agree about the absurd stallers. It's probably a necessary evil. But I don't see why hand for hand and block payments for 10-18th go together. You could do hand for hand and still have graduated...

Re: Dear Lee Jones; Volume II
If you have blocks of prize money the same. (i.e.e, 10th 18th the same), then you have a block of hand to hand play before it. If it was graduated, as I think it should be, you wouldn't have hand to...
