Re: Slow Play? #1 (PLO8)

People telling you to fold this to a minraise are suggesting some really weak-tight play. QQxx, KKxx are hands that virtually play themselves (except when you fail to bet when you hit your set.) PT...

Re: AA34 ds hand

The bet at the end is not a big deal, obviously. Maybe 10% of the time he folds his nut low draw + 2 pair to it. A larger percent of the time he'll check-behind on the river with two pair, saving you...

Re: 5-5 PLO8 Standard? Boring?

Your cards might be interesting to know here. It looks like a reasonable spot for a bluff. If richet had JT, he wouldn't have stopped betting at the river. zadig_ would likely have raised the turn,...

Re: AA34 ds hand

It all looks fine to me. I would be less inclined to raise this hand from the BB because it is so hard to play a one pair high and second nut low out-of-position. I wouldn't consider the raise bad,...

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

[ QUOTE ]
What would you put the bettor on out of curiousity?

[/ QUOTE ]

One of:

set, low draw + pair, low draw + no pair, 2 pair. You're only afraid of low draw + 2 pair or better here....

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

He bet the flop; you should have RAISED the flop. If he had a great hand, he might have RE-RAISED. You can't raise before anyone bets, and you can't re-raise before anyone raises.

Re: PLO8 - First time ever and couldn\'t even show it

There's no reasonable option other than raising the flop. I think you folded the best hand on the turn most of the time. If you had bet the flop and got raised, it's a little trickier (assuming...

Re: did i play this hand wrong in p0825? thoughts?

By too much to be gained, do you mean getting back your preflop bet? Do you think both of the other players are on naked low draws?

It's a small pot and it's hard to think it's likely you'll win a...

Re: did i play this hand wrong in p0825? thoughts?

Fold the flop. You have a nearly naked nut low against two opponents that like their hand. You're drawing to half the pot at best most of the time.

Re: PLO8 200 Games at Party Observations

The games seem to be getting a bit tougher than they used to be, or maybe I'm just starting to suck more. The $200 level still seems easily beatable, though.

Re: full house wars: do you ever fold?

Unless your opponent is a rock who just raised preflop for the first time in 500 hands, I lose my stack every time.

Re: Blind Defense - short handed.

I think it's a winning style if done correctly. I think we are really missing out on opportunities that a weighted-hand probability approach could provide. I must have missed a swath of hands WM...

Re: Thoughts on this PLO8 hand please

The chat sucks. Always commisserate with the losers as you're taking their money. "Damn, you're right, I did get lucky there. Didn't realize you were that strong."

Re: PLO50 AA3s hand with Wintermute

Fold face up, showing that tight-fk you know he only raises AA2. That should knock some chips loose.

Re: Hand From Impromptu 2+2 PLO8 last night

I'd fold the turn here. It's unlikely two players are in there with 34, just because 34 is a rare combination to play. It's likely one of the two players has a high hand. Moreover, playing a set...

Re: BB Value for $25 PL Omaha High-Low

20BB/100 at the $25 tables is rather easily maintainable by a good player. The best players can maintain that rate at the $200 tables.

Re: BB Value for $25 PL Omaha High-Low

BB = 0.5

You want to shoot for 20 BB/100 to consider yourself a master of that level.

Re: $25 PLO8, give this hand up on the turn?

Ah, you have the nuts with a good redraw. Your opponent might have just hit his low, but he also might have a weaker high. Shove and hope a 5 doesn't hit.
