This might not be the right place to post it but I don't know where else. I watch the UB 200-400 games and the 25-50 NLH and see all the names over and over again. But who is who??

ARUBA

I'm on vacation in Curacao where they just started to play poker. In the Holiday Casino they host a 10-20 Hold'em or a 2-5 NLH game with a 200$ buy in. Both games are great!!!! I leave to Aruba this...

Re: Bellagio 15-30 - 3-bet, call, call, call?

play seems good the way you descibe RHO. On the turn you make the descision to continue or not. If you call the turn you have to call the river. Alternative play to fold on the turn cannot be much...

Re: Fold

If you play like this the good player will notice that and will bully you out of every hand. If he has a better hand here.. too bad but you can't fold a set for 1 raise!!!!!!

Re: Getting Back Into It : AQo on the Button

When UTG 3-bet the flop just call and then check call turn and river if you don't approve. Only reason to cap the flop is to get a free card on the turn. If someone bets the turn after you cap I...

Re: it happens

Nothing you can do about it. If you put less then 8BB in for turn+river I think you play too conservative and miss some value betting when you have the best of it!!

Be happy that you were not...

Re: What is playable here?

Calling with every hand will cost you a lot of money in the long run. Dont play hands like 27o 48o. I would definately loosen up by playing all suited cards, all cards with 0 or 1 gap and both cards...

Re: please help rank the five actions in order of appearances

I think the best way to find out is play online poker for a long session. The site will tell you all the percentages of your actions.

might see you out there.

Re: Folding an over pair

I think folding is very weak here. It costs you a maximum of 2 bets go to the river. People think I play very tight and I mostly do but if I would find out that you make these laydowns headsup it's...

Re: very poorly played AA?

I probably would just flat call preflop. But I think you get an extra opportunity to make extra $$ when the K comes on the turn. I would check and hope for a checkraise. If he checks behind you then...

Re: 100/200 pokerstars hand

RAISE!!! The only had that beats you is KK and that's very unlikely as there was no reraise be4 flop. Even if the player was tricky to not reraise with KK he would probably wait till the turn to pump...

Re: 40-80 at commerce, You make the call

You can close the action for 1 bet here. With this pot I would always call.
But to avoid this problem in the future: Muck 44 from early position. And 44 plays better against a big field (no set no...

Re: 300-600 hand

I would bet the river. The only hand you can lose against here is JJ I think. A Q or KK AA would bet out here as it's not a good situation for a check-raise.
Three bet preflop debatable. You have to...

Re: Online $20-40, two pair with heavy action, what to do?

And if you add an 8 or 3 with a better kicker in the setup then the percentage will drop even more. Didn't calculate it but then you need 2 pair or better to win.

Re: A 10 off UTG played corrected??

Preflop is a fold and it is not close! Don't fall for the trap to play looser cause your opponents do.

Flopplay is good. You are probably ahead but the board looks scary: bet and raise!!!

Re: Hand To Talk About

Mason,

I understand your play until the river. What would you do if he reraised the river? I guess you made that play for future value. If not then I think calling is the best play.

If you ...

Re: 22 in the BB

If you need a set (less than 1:7 on the flop) to continue then DON'T PLAY IT against 1 opponent.

If you bet into a passive player and get action you can easily fold, otherwise you win the pot.

Re: Check-Raise Bluff

I mostly play 10 handed games in which you need to show a hand a lot of times. I like to semi-bluff reraise myself to change my play at it works good for me.

Re: 3 3 hand in LMP

I think you played it well. Your hand is not strong enough to raise but with the low board there is a good chance you are against two overcards. Just call down and hope your hand is good. The 'extra'...

CHECK AND CALL

Your call is justified by the pot odds. Expect to loose though!! What hands can you beat here.
There is NO WAY you hand drives out a better hand. A weaker hand is more likely to semi-bluff you then...

Re: 65s 20-40 hand

Raise the turn. Let them pay for their draws. They have correct oadds if you just call.

After calling the turn you raised the river. I might call to keep the players behind me in. But it's close...

Re: These 15-30 people play SO well...

Why don't you like the turn card??? Besides an obvious Q I think this is the best card in the deck:

* no flush card
* Reduces chance that somebody holds an A. If somebody held an A you were...
