Did I pay too much?

Hi all,

When this hand was finished, I was angrily denounced as having paid too much for the flush draw.

PP $200 Both opponents slightly passive, not loose or tight.

Re: Flopped nut flush OOP

Thanks, I find that very helpful and a convincing argument.

Flopped nut flush OOP

This is more a math question than anything, so I'll give you the short summary here; the hand is included below.

Holding K3spades in BB, flop comes AJ4spades with a couple limpers. Here is my...

Re: Helpless and confused with deep stacks and KK

Thank you for that advice. I already knew I played it terribly, so the previous responses were not very helpful. I appreciate your constructive suggestions on how to act next time.

Helpless and confused with deep stacks and KK

That's how I felt in the middle of this hand.

PP$200NL, a pretty wild table with Villian being
the wildest of them all. Several very big stacks
and some big pots recently. I'm seen as slightly...

Re: Celebrating my perfect hand...huge pot

True enough, but it sure was fun sitting in the catbird seat.

Celebrating my perfect hand...huge pot

No real content here. I just wanted to celebrate
my biggest win ever. It was an ideal situation.
The two villains were LAG, which explains my
slowplay to lure them into hanging themselves.
I...

Pokertracker statistics

Can anyone point me to the formulas used to calculate familiar PokerTracker statistics such as VP$IP to assess aggression? I don't own PT and often play on non-"trackable" sites, but would like to...

IMO, there is no "real river card" until one is turned up.
The river card is a random draw from the set of cards that
have not been dealt to any...

Re: Similar story, chat almost backfired

A funny thing happened yesterday, along similar lines.
Blinds and me (Button) limp in, stacks all about $100.
I held J9 and flop came QT8. SB thought a while, then
chatted "take it" and checked. ...

Re: Better Poker In Less Than 30 Seconds (Part 1)

My gut reaction was call.

Ignoring suits, my 2-minute math was:
6 AA hands 20% chance winning
1 KK hand 50% value
8 AK hands 70% chance winning
(6*.2+1*.5+8*.7)/15 = .487

Essentially a coin...
