Re: black 9s
Cap preflop. You have the best hand a large majority of the time. I think not capping is a significant error.
Bet the flop. Hopefully the maniac will raise and clear the field and then you can...

Re: Blind War
I also think you have a thin value bet in hand 1. You have to expect that a K or J would bet the river. Unless he'll bluff raise the river at something close to the correct frequency -- in which case...

Re: drawing with two pair in huge pot--a mistake?
I don't like preflop, but I don't think it's a big deal. I doubt you win this pot more than 1/6 of the time. Bloating the pot to get people to chase incorrectly is a thought, but I don't think it...

Re: Playing against loose opponents
That strategy may be a little off. It's not clear if you are picking your spots well. Like if a loose UTG limps, and you have A6o, you don't want to be isolating from UTG+1. Isolating from button is...

Re: QJs- hate this hand
I have a differing opinion on this hand.
I think you should check call the whole way down.
Putting in extra bets is bad since you are probably behind or close to it.
Check raising the...

Re: Some pairs UTG
Hand 1 I probably bet the river, and call a raise, but maybe that's optimistic. Not too many 8s are calling 2 cold on the flop.
Hand 2 I don't see the point in betting the turn unless you are...

Re: Some more pairs UTG
Both of these look fine to me, and no decisions look particularly close. When you get raised on the turn, you are probably behind in both hands, but it isn't sure enough to fold.

Re: You asked for it...
Aside from the implied odds from hitting a set on the turn, I see 3 arguments in favor of calling the flop 3 bet:
1. A 9 or J will give you odds to call a turn bet.
2. A few percent of the time...

Re: 5/10 J8o
I would fold preflop, but call with J9o. Not a big deal either way.
Pretty standard flop and turn, though I'd consider check raising the flop.
Easy fold on the river especially since UTG is all...

Re: Party 5/10 - KJo
If I'm button, I'm raising the turn every time with TT, and occasionally with AK (if I have a read that hero can fold a pair). Of course, I'm a lot more aggro than 30/11/1.5.
I don't hate the...

Re: Party 3/6 6 max: K9s on the button
Nice hand.
I wouldn't believe that CO has me beat when he bets the river because he didn't 3 bet the turn. The river changes virtually nothing. So pretty easy raise there.
I wouldn't cap the...

Re: Results
Yeah, that's why I checked. I don't think it happens often enough though. And I now think it is a fold if goes bet call.

Confused with TT
Party 5/10 6-max

Re: AT BB hand 1/2, am I a wuss?
Nice turn play, donk.
I do the same. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Donk the turn or c/r?
I don't like check raising the flop here. You are usually behind, and if you are ahead, it's often against something like 88 which you don't want to scare away. I think I check call the flop against...
