Re: sometimes you just gotta fold aces
Do you actually consider folding here getting 1:18 against an unknown? That would be pretty terrible. With a good read, you could fold the river UI, but against an unkown you should of course show...

Re: A2o - Turn check/fold?
I assume the sample sizes are sufficient. UTG doesn't seem to be a complete idiot, so what does he coldcall a dry flop with, that he limped UTG? 77, 55, A5s?, A7s?.. How about an A + big kicker? Not...

Re: 2/4 KTs
No. There is a big difference between heads up and multiway. A4o is ahead of us heads up, but multiway it's real Crap. Run some sims in pokerstove and you'll see. We want it to limp because it...

Re: Whats up small stakes
Sure, it's painful to be checkraised. But you can not give a free card on this coordinated board 4-handed when you are likely to have the best hand. Why would you?

Re: AK flop decision - 20/40
This is totally wrong and very basic. You really need to read TOP, i've seen you write these things time and time again. No offense.

Re: The dreaded ace showed up on the turn
Perhaps i'm wrong since he may also check behind with a lot of dangerous hands.
But isn't a worse hand raising here something you have to take into consideration? And yes, i know this is 1/2.

Re: The dreaded ace showed up on the turn
Sure check/fold is not good at all here. But i don't think bet/fold is good either. There are many worse hands which he can pop the turn with here! He is in position, he can semi-bluff a flushdraw,...

Re: Pocket JJ, Is A on the turn a check behind
With KK or QQ i could accept a turn check, since he is a LAG - who probably bets a lot of hands on the river if you check and possibly is capable of checkraising a worse hand. But JJ with 2...

Re: Pocket Tens, Beaten twice
Hand1:
Since he checked the river after the turn were checked through a bet is good. But the question is whether it is good to check the turn. I always look at some numbers in PA to determine that....

Re: J7 suited - keep fishin?
[ QUOTE ]
UTG is pretty unlikely to have a lone jack.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, my bad, i misread the board. Somehow thought there was 4 to a straight on board.

If UTG has a set,...

Re: J7 suited - keep fishin?
[ QUOTE ]
If UTG has QJ, then we want BB in. If UTG has a set, we want BB to stay in.
[/ QUOTE ]
If UTG has a set and BB has two pair we want BB to fold. He is getting 1:12 with 2 pair if...

Re: J7 suited - keep fishin?
And there is also a phenomenon called spewing. This sometimes appears when capping OOP with a one card straight for example. I don't think this is the case in this hand though. I changed my mind to a...

Re: J7 suited - keep fishin?
[ QUOTE ]
I think we should discount the set possibilities somewhat.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree. But BB is getting 1:12 for a call, which makes it profitable to call with 2 pairs or (of course) a...

Re: J7 suited - keep fishin?
[ QUOTE ]
Why would you do anything else except cap it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because you may have only 9 outs (plus a little for the Q split) if UTG or BB has QJ. It is very unlikely that you have the...

Re: A4s, good and bad flops
Generally, you should not openlimp from middle position. If the players behind you are *very loose passive there may be exeptions though. But i would fold these hands PF. Change the 4 to an 8s/9s or...

Why not bet the flop? Are you guys sure he will bet with AK? What if he has 99? And if he has JJ - especially with a club - we want him to fold since he is getting the odds to draw. And of course we...

You should defenitely at least call getting 18.5:1 in this spot, if your not up against a predictionable player. What limit is this? At 3/6 and up it is very common that people try to push you off...
