Re: First NL live casino game: how\'d I play?
hand 1- seems fine.
hand 2- a little more information (stack sizes?) would help, but it seems fine.
hand 3- easy there. encourage some action with AA... you won't get nearly as much as you'd...

Re: $25 NL Hold\'em Cash
the pot's $25 on the turn, and the hero and SB both only have about half that behind.
you're not deep enough to 'reevaluate' the river in terms of a finding a fold. i think shoving the turn is...

snipes: KK and QQ aren't going anywhere either, kiddo.

Re: man...weird hands today 200NL
hm, interesting hand. AJ, i don't c/r that flop because it's not threatening enough. i think you'd have a tough time getting an opponent to lay down AK, KQ, or even KJ on that board.

Re: never played NL, Advice please
harrington on hold'em is a fine starting place, but search around 2+2 a bit. you'll get more out of these boards then you will any textbook i can think of.

Re: TPTK trouble
[ QUOTE ]
are most people dumping TPTK to any raise? I think i read once that it is normally the correct thing to do.

too much of a blanket statement, there. but in this case,...

Re: My Ist hand post - 2/4 NL Stars
nah, not a limit player by trade.
but a pair + overcard and backdoor draw against a really weak-ass continuation bet and a passive call of the c-bet. and we have position throughout the hand? i...

Re: 2 hands: UN-ABC play?? or good gambles??
don't think too results oriented, kiddo.
hand 1- bet more on the turn, fold to a raise. river check call is fine (it lets him bluff missed straight draws, and controls the pot size), especially...

Re: Gutshot nut flush draw, my line
i'm in the mood for a weak lead. lead the turn for $10, or a little above.
the five is just such a brick, and his flop miniraise indicates some strength. i think you'll be surprised how often A-10...

Re: Muck these kings to a 3 bet? Party 25NL
fold standardly, and sleep easy enough.
(pocket fives work too. shorthanded $25 NL, limp and call a smallish raise with fives? not too unlikely.
JT is the first thing that comes to mind, but...

Re: too passive? playing TPTK
hand one: eh. i like $10 or $11 on the turn. if you get called on the turn after taking my line, a check on the river seems fine, though.

Hand Two: While a little more dangerous,...

Re: Why did I do this??
right, the flop continuation bet seems alright. once you are raised, it feel's like you're up against a set. you are now on a flush draw (discounting ace and king outs) for all intensive purposes,...
