Re: Should I be folding KK?
Hasn't the poster telegraphed his high pair with his first two bets? Villain is re-raising against a high pair; it seems that, if he were building value for a straight draw, he would call instead of...

boredom
Given the predominantly loose, meaningless, caller-station type play at the micro-limits, a lot of what goes on is just waiting for a good starting hand and collecting from the fish. I understand...

Re: Not a very good play
[ QUOTE ]
Ace on the flop is more likely to show up if your opponent has KK, than a K.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good point. An A or K on the board actually identifies villain's pair somewhat.
Looks...

Re: A-high flush w trips on board
And only rarely at that. Both instances, if I remember right, involved low cards as the 4th and 5th cards. Lost to JJ & KK, neither of which I remember showing strength pre-flop.

Re: A-high flush w trips on board
Thanks guys. You pretty much hit everything I was thinking about. What concerned me was that it was such an obvious bluffing opportunity for my opponent. I believe I was raising both times, which...

Re: Not a very good play
Also, given what I have said above, the cards Stew had to worry about on the flop were danger cards, not his opponent's actual outs. So he has 5 cards to worry about (all available A/K's), not just...

Re: Not a very good play
Actually I was basing my analysis on Stew's familiarity with the table and his feel that exactly one of the other A/K's was accounted for. Stew has been insisting that the pure chance of villian...

A-high flush w trips on board
Got beat twice today holding A-high flush, trips on board. Pocket pair made boat both times.
Do you automatically fold in this situation where opponent shoes strength?

I still don't know why you keep bringing up QQ, if you would have read the whole thread I said I did not think anyone had QQ. The only thing that I had speculated on was that I was pretty...

As long as you're getting authentic positive feedback on your play from third parties, and you've convinced yourself after serious self-reflection that you're not on tilt, then you should push...

[T]he likelihood of set over set is very insignificant to me.

I could say with about 75% certainty that pre-flop one of the additional A's or K's were gone as the two limpers liked...

Re: What is a bad beat, really?
It's getting beat by a play that you legitimately had no reason to anticipate.
If you hold KK and go all in pre-flop, and get beat by a QQ w Q on the river, that's not a bad beat. Your...

This is a rather esoteric question that is interesting nonetheless.
Given a 10-player table, what is the probability that any one or more of my nine opponents holds JJ, QQ, KK, or AA? (Assume I...
