Re: Bet this turn?
[ QUOTE ]
They could easily have a pair, trips, or a PP. For outs, we've got 7 optimistically, 5.5 with the standard deduction, and in reality something in between given the circumstances.

Re: KQ BB defense
I would fold the turn. Without a read, I don't think KQ has enough showdown value vs a preflop capper, even if it is a SB/BB steal/resteal situation. At least not enough to call down in this spot. ...

Re: AQ hand, keep bluffing?
I'd 3 bet pre-flop and lead the flop.
Given that you just called, I like the checkraise and I would bet the turn and river for value.
Villain did not raise you after the flop so it is likely...

[ QUOTE ]
Why checkraise this flop?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hero check raises this flop because he's ahead of villain's range of hands.
[ QUOTE ]
with that flop will probably peel pretty much...

Re: I 3-bet turn
3 betting looks good if villain will give up his semi-bluffs on the river, otherwise I prefer calling down.
Villain is not a good player. I think he is likely to keep firing on the river with a...

Re: full ring vs. 6-max
I followed Ed Miller's suggestion and have no regrets so far. I've only played 5500 hands, but enjoyed the experience since it forces you to make a lot more difficult decisions. Also, I find the...

Re: AQ....brain is mush.
Given Button's numbers, his 3-betting range in this spot looks alot like TT+, and AK.
You beat 12 combos of AK and 6 combo of JJ.
You lose to 16 combos of AA,KK,QQ,TT.
So you are a little bit...

Re: Overpair vs mucho turn AG.
After more thinking, I like the more conservative line of just calling down after the turn check raise. I guess I tend to assess unknowns as more aggressive then what they really are.
I feel the...

Re: Overpair vs mucho turn AG.
Given that you don't have a read I don't think you can fold the turn cap, you've made the pot big and you are getting 10-1 to see the river and 5.5-1 on a call down.
A more conservative line would...

Re: 2 Big Pair Laydowns
Why the river fold in hand 1?
You now beat QJ with the board pairing. Getting 17-1, you have to be absolutely sure you are beat and I think there is enough doubt to call.
I need a really good...

Re: Classis good overcalling situation?
Tough spot as I think BTN has AT. Not sure but I am thinking he would have bet/folded a weaker made hand on the turn and would have folded A hi on this river. It's possible that he chickened out...

Re: A6 in unraised 3 way pot
I agree with the river fold as I need quite the parlay of event in order to be good, and my effective odds are quite bad.
I think my flop call is thinner than expected since none of my hidden outs...

Re: 5/10: River Decision in a Blind Battle
The only way that you can be good is if SB also had a 3 and is now bet/folding the river. If he had 2 I'm thinking he would have folded, and a 6 or A just made it.
How many 3x does he complete in...

Re: AQ, turn flush draw, river overcall?
Well played I think.
I like the flop 3 bet, and the turn check. After he capped the flop and somebody cold called, it's unlikely you still have the best hand on the turn. Since you have outs,...

A6 in unraised 3 way pot
This is my first post in this forum, I started playing 6 max about a week ago. I find the play more agressive. There are so many terrible players, and the action is fast paced, so I like it...

Re: AKs...how do I play it?
I play it the same. Most of villains don't 3 bet this flop with QQ or less, and not many players will 3 bet KJ-KQ in this spot, so I think we are either splitting or behind. It's possible villain...

Re: Strange AKs hand
Capping the river?
Raising after he already donked and JUST called is very profitable.
Once villain 3 bets, he is more likely to have AK or better so capping as less value. I would just call...

Re: Strange AKs hand
About capping the flop, I think it is definitely +EV but calling and waiting for the turn to raise is probably better, since the turn bet is so likely. I may not want to slow down even if a heart...

Re: Strange AKs hand
I cap the flop here, the villain who is short stack is likely just trying to get rid of his last few chips with some Ax or flush draw and the one who raised preflop may be calling with a weaker A or...

Re: QQ Draw heavy board
Easy river bet. I am assuming this is a fairly good game as it is posted in the micros, so the average opponent is more than loose enough to have a wide enough range of hands A6, Jx,Qx, T9 etc......

I've also been experimenting with 6-max lately.
On this flop I would check behind because there are 3 other players and the club draw devalues your hand. Against 1-2 players it would be more...

I think the raise preflop is marginal. You probably have the best hand and you make money with this raise, but your equity edge is not as big as if you were suited, or if you had a bigger ace like...

Re: slowplay QQ on QJ3r?
Bet this flop because you are likely to get called by weaker hands. This is not a ragged flop. Any one with two cards greater than T will most likely call you. Why would you want to give them a...
