Re: Results (with a little LC if permissable)

I just don't see how you can make that read. You said the guy is good and UTG will fold to a re-raise. He has the guy covered and it would seem to me that he could have anything here.

Having said...

Re: Observation. what do cheap tourneys teach you....

How to play in 1,000 person + tournaments. WHen you go into those tournaments you will run into a lot of suspect play. You have to be able to walk through that landmine to do well.

I don't think...

Re: Bubble Play with KK

I can't imagine any play other than push. Presumably the CO has the same read on UTG as you do so he could raise with a lot of hands. Even if his range is AK/AA I think a push is in order,and...

Re: Come watch Adanthar beat me up

fot the last 6-8 weeks I'm playing the 9:00 PM rebuy and the hh at 10:00 on EMpire, the 9:10 $150 at Stars and the 9:00 Super at Party. I'm running pretty bad at PArty, but well at both EMpire and...

Re: Come watch Adanthar beat me up

Congrats man, glad my chips went to good use.

FWIW, the Happy hour and the rebuy have been gold mines for mesince the Empire/Party split. THe happy hour is always an overlay, most of the players...

Re: 99 HU for Australia Package~

I have been fortunate enough to get heads up 4 or 5 times this month, and I can honestly say....i have no clue. Without having played the last x hands with the guy there is no way I could say, but I...

Re: Wasting Aces...

I actually would raise more here, hoping to make the chip leader think you're stealing. I wouldn't mind a flat call if it was just the 2 of you in the pot, but the presence of the 3rd player is...

Re: $10 MTT Party Poker 1st Hand - Right Call?

"The real donk in this hand is the villian, he makes this move and only KK and QQ will probably call him. The vast majority of the time he picks up the blinds for a whopping win of T15 for his AA....

Re: um, QQ fold preflop?

I'm saying I fold because I believe more than half the time I'm going to see AA or KK (and I believe it's more like 75% of the time in these events) based on the betting he described. If I have some...

Re: um, QQ fold preflop?

I'm saying in my experience that AK is WAY more likely to push here than raise to 600. THe halfway raise is almost always AA, wheras the pure bluffs overbet most of the time.

Re: um, QQ fold preflop?

I fold here almost everytime. I call a push, but it'salmost always AA or KK going part way here. It's not a bunch of limpers being raised, it'san utg raise and a bunch of callers. I'd be shocked if a...

Re: Pete \"The Beat\" comes over the top of me..now what?

Obviously I spent too much time worrying about what he thought I had. Everyone seems to think this is pretty easy and I guess it was, he had K9 and my hand held up.

Pete \"The Beat\" comes over the top of me..now what?

Stars $150. Blinds 25/50, I'm in the BB with 1800 chips, Pete has just over 3K. EP limp, The beat completes and I get a free play with 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

What I did

I folded the AT without really thinking much about it.I really putthat inthere to see if I'm way tighter than most, and to see if anyone calls here to see if the flop is any help, but of course if...

Re: Mediocre hands from the blinds

I would have to say the entire table had been pretty tight. I hadn't seen a really poor hand showed down yet.

Mediocre hands from the blinds

Party 500K. 240 players left, we've made our money back but the big money is still a fair ways off. Blinds have just goneto 500/1000. I have 14K and the villain in both these hands has the exact...

Re: 11r, how thee tempts me.

Actually I don't think a push looks suspicious at all. Wouldn't you push here with an overpair on that board?

In this situation I think the bigger question is what do I think this guy called with...

Re: Help me out: Black AA face up?

This is a personal preference situation. If AK or another big pair is out there behind you calling or pushing makes no difference, the money will be going in pre-flop 3 or 4 way. I would want to know...

What i did

COverd this in the other post but I folded the AJ, but it was now obvious that no one would be eliminated on the other table. 2 guys were actually sitting out, and the big stack had stopped pushing...

Re: I hate my life

I had made a stand with A6 of all things and doubled up. Brandon went out next with TT vs QQ, so when I folded QQ (and AK 2 hands later) there were 3 stacks smaller than me at the table. Not only...
