I'll bet you need more RAM. I had a similar problem playing on a desktop with only 128MB RAM. Of course, with a desktop this is easily fixed.

I think in statistics this is referred to as an "absorbing barriers" problem. If you win 100 times in a row you continue playing to infinity and eventually things will regress to the mean in a 50/50...

It sounds like your roll is $2400. If you are comfortable playing 3/6 with 300BB ($1800), then it seems that anything in excess of that (at least for hobby players like you and myself) is available...
