Re: Live MTT A4s UTG+1 Short Stacked
Well, your M is less than 5 and you will take the blinds in two hands. It's a pretty tough spot like betgo says, but I think you have to push. Anyone else?

Re: Curtains Hand #1
I'm curious why he would make a that move so early in a tournament. He is not picking up very many chips and risking a rather drastic table image if found out.
I can answer from my standpoint that...

$20+2: Too aggressive against passive player?
SB is fairly tight and too passive unless he has a hand. I'd already seen him min bet/min bet/fold in previous hands. My image up until this point is very tight, but highly aggressive. I've only...

Re: (LC) Button raises pissing me off....
There is no one defense. Generally if you are shallow you will want to re-raise eventually. However, you never "always" raise. The hand you need to raise depends on the villain's steal-raise range....

Re: Curtains 4: TT Facing Minraise
Most cases I'm calling. Against certain lags, I'll raise. Against certain tight weaks, I'll raise. Folding is just wrong.
If I'm multi-tabling, I'm always just calling cause I have no verifiable...

Re: I CAN\'T WIN!!...Heads-Up Help!!
First, don't try to fix anything until your ROI drops. ;-)
Heads up is very situational. There is no one strategy that will help you. The best thing that I can suggest is that you craft your...

Re: $16 Turbo - I Still Think this was Right
Calling a standard raise and a call with medium suited connectors this early in a sng is not terrible in my opinion-- not that'd I'd make a habit of it. However, it'd be more likely to call with 67s...

Re: Bubble Problem
Why push pre-flop with 15BB, Durron? Is it because, you'll be pot committed if BB pushes? I usually don't push with such a large stack.

Re: A few hands from my wonderful day.
Hand 1: Push. Give your opponent (who could be bluff, or could have a small PP) a chance to fold. You don't always need the best current hand to play a flop strong.
Hand 2: Ugh. Less than 3bb,...

Re: How do you play second pair?
Two things to consider when playing 2nd pair: your other card & your read on your opponent.
Other card:
If your other card is a poor kicker, be less apt to play the hand. Your opponent might have...

It may just be my style, but I don't like letting the villain take control of the hand. I prefer to hang myself, if you will, with TP/TK. I raise pre-flop, and raise flop.

Re: $11\'s Good pushes ? (4 hands)
I agree that hand #2 is pretty weak. But all other hands (with the possible exception of #1 because of the short stack) seem like +ev FE situations.
Could someone school me here?

Re: Easy call, right?
I almost always call instantly unless the player has proven to be very, very timid with his raises. By that, I mean a tight passive player that accidently made it to the final three.

Tricky bubble situation (for me). Your line?
Pokerstars 10 +1
UTG (3,250)
Button (3,100)
SB Hero (3,200)
BB (4,250)
Blinds 200/400 50 ante.
We'd been blind battling for over two levels. I was the most aggressive. Table had finally...

Re: 10+1 bubble HH ...very aggressive maybe silly?
One you build yourself up to 12-15BB, you can/and should lay off the all-in bets. By this time, you have enough for a raise and a continuation bet. There is no way I'd pull the 10/5 hand with as many...

I think this might be a marginal +ev push. However, usually I'm folding. Reason being, I have just enough chips to push/pick up blinds repeatedly. On the low buy-in tables I play, I can make up for a...

Easy call 5-handed with only 4BB against an aggressive opponent. Half the reason I own this stage of a a tournament is because people don't call enough with 66 in this position. 4-handed with a...

This early, this flop, I fold unless the villain has proven to be an absolute goof. Top pair/top kicker is a hand I'm willing to go broke on in the face of aggression, but not with this flop. Way too...
