Re: Which book helped you the most

Only thing I've read is Baldwin's chapter in SS2.

I knew nothing about poker outside of HE before that, but just that chapter should be enough to beat .5/1, 1/2 on party.

Re: White Stripes

The fact that Meg White can't hold a tune is deliberate IMO, it really is the Jack White show.

I love their music, tongue in cheek interviews, cool videos and constant references to the man in my...

Re: online LO8 tournament \"strategy\" (Orleans)

[ QUOTE ]
You mean for the Party structure, or in general? Pre flop or post flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

PF mainly. I know a lot of people don't raise pf in Lo8 generally, and that's fine early on, but...

Re: Should I be playing NL cash games?

A lot of pros agree that a great NL cash game player can, with very little adjustment, be a great NL MTT player (while the opposite is far from true).
Some real NL ring experience can be of great...

Re: online LO8 tournament \"strategy\" (Orleans)

If you've got 9 hours to spare on a Thursday, the Deepstack Lo8 on stars is fun. I've played it 5 times, cashed 4 and made 3 FTs.
Party o8 tournaments are super soft, but the 1000 starting chips...

Re: 99 HU for Australia Package~

Based on limited info, I would have to let this go, though I guess it's really a read based spot.

If you fold you still have ~19k to play with (vs ~43), which isn't ideal, but I think your chances...

Re: Which Site?

If micros are his thing, he should stick with stars.

Except for the begginners tables, there's nothing lower than .5/1 on party. Also, he'd be paying a 20% vig on $5 sngs.

Any way to make Party work with Firefox?

I just don't trust IE.

Any way to make Party go to a different browser when I click "my account" or one of the ads or whatnot.

Just saw it yesterday, Carell was awesome.
When the movie hit, it was hilarious, but it dragged and there was a lot there that could have been cut.

The DVD is an unrated/extended type thing, with...

Re: X-Post: WSOP 2006 Schedule is Out

It came out in October. (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/051024/phm051.html?.v=17)

Was posted about quite a bit on here, and some pros (Daniel N. mainly) came out and criticized it.

Re: Gosh... AQ against a donk. Party 30+3 w/ 250 entrants

Why do you lead out at the flop?

Seems like an odd move to me, you didn't reraise pf, and you wouldn't lead out with a T (of course you might, but I'm saying from the villain's perspective in this...
