Re: At what point do I stop firing here?
I think you have to slow down. He's obviously got an ace and he doesn't seem prepared to let it go. You raised the flop. He still called. If he checks the turn, and you think you can steal it, then...

Re: turbo tounaments

Re: turbo tounaments
yeah, exitonly is right on. i play a lot of turbos, because they take less time. honestly, i think you're better off playing 1 or 2 regular tournaments a week if that's what your time allows. turbos...

Re: $5, down to 3 people
doyle's room is a skin of goldenpalace, where i play regularly and i doubt the statement about them all being good players in a $5 SNG is true.
as a matter of fact, i'd wager to say pushing all-in...

So much luck in these, how do you turn a profit?
OK, this is going to sound like a bad beat thread, but really I just want to know how to overcome this:
The last 3 tournaments I've been knocked out of, the final hand was
My KK vs. his QQ
My...

Re: Greatest Lay Down Ever
How great of a laydown is it if you HEARD him say he has 99? Had you not heard that it would have been the laydown of the century. But you heard it.

Re: New project with price
I don't see how you can do this unless you're playing full-time and then why would you want to play at that level?

Re: And the next move is?
Read dependent, but I push ... maybe just call and hope a 4th club doesn't hit. But you played your J/10 suited to hit a flush or a straight and you a flush.

Re: AA hand, donk accusations
You raise 3XBB because of the strength of your hand and the fact you WANT callers. Unfortunately, your caller woke up with a big flop.

Re: Harringtons strategy - advice needed
[ QUOTE ]
I usually push here. You're in LP, and as HOH says you'll have first in viggorish. I can see Lloyd's point too. Looking at the stacks that are still to act, I think the button and SB...

Re: A weird, misplayed hand
BB turned over AQ ... Cold-calling two bets on the flop and turn with a gutshot.
EP had 10 9 for a lower two pair.

Re: Small Stakes Hold Em By Ed Miller
Great book.
Between it and HOH they are my bibles.
I'm surprised how cheaply you can get SSHE on PokerStars. A lot of books are a lot more "expensive" in terms of points needed to get them.

Re: How much do you raise here?
you have enough chips to make a reasonable 3xBB raise and see what happens. If overcards come to his 77 and you bet, he may fold the flop. If he pushes pre-flop, you have to decide if this is the...

Re: A weird, misplayed hand
No real reads, other than it is a $1/$2 table and I've seen a lot bad play at this level (not that I'm a pro).
