Re: Live hand: Bottom pair, ugly river

Any 2 10-A, 44+, any suited ace, A4o+, with maybe some suited connectors thrown in (but not with 100% frequency).

Re: Live hand: Bottom pair, ugly river

My turn checkraise was purely for value. I figure to have the best hand on this board, and I know this guy's firing a second barrel on the turn no matter what he has. Also, all of his likely 6-out...

Re: Live hand: Bottom pair, ugly river

[ QUOTE ]
If you are going to call a river bet, you are much better of betting it yourself here. Why let AK/Q (the only 2 hands you beat) off the hook and give a chance to check behind? Its also...

Live hand: Bottom pair, ugly river

5 handed 75/150.

UTG who is a so-so player but always thinks I'm making moves on him opens. I've been beating him up pretty good FWIW. I call in the bb with A5o.

Flop:

9 7 5 r.

I check,...

Re: Any Good Directions to Foxwoods from NYC/Fairfield County?

This is probably the shortest way from Danbury.

It's only about 10 minutes on 2 after you get off 95, and theres no highway that runs really close to FW.

The only non-95 route is 84 east to 691...

Re: Golden Tee

My roomate actually sliced his hand open on ours once. One of the screws that holds that trackball case thing in was loose and sticking up a bit. He needed LOTS of stitches for that one.

Re: Golden Tee

I used to have one of these in my kitchen back in college, so I think that qualifies me as an expert.

The best way to hit a really long drive is just pound the [censored] of that trackball. You...

Re: 30/60 Dealing with super-aggros

I dunno. I doubt he's capping the turn as a bluff. If he donks the river, yeah it's annoying, but my guess is that if you ran the numbers you'd find that if there's even a 15% chance you...

Re: Class President Robs Bank after running up Poker Debt

Re: 30/60 Dealing with super-aggros

This guy is always checkraising on that turn given the action so far, whether he has a hand or not. So whether or not to bet the turn and call down is really just a matter of how much equity AK has...

Re: a hand youll all probably hate

Assuming this is tough enough game that unknowns are generally at least semi-reasonable players, I think this is a pretty bad line. Sure, your flop 3-bet might have cleaned up 2 outs, but a flop...
