Re: Stud/8 hand from a total newbie
[ QUOTE ]
There is no fourth street rule in stud/8, that is, hero can only make a small bet on fourth.

Re: Hand from Stud-8 tourney.
Since it was folded to Andy and with only a 7, Q, and the BI left, I'd say it's reasonable to put him on a semi-steal. 4th street worked out perfect for you by catching another low and him a brick...

Re: Split the Stud Forum?

The number of stud players do not justify two separate forums in my opinion. It's easy enough to ignore threads you are not interested in.

Re: (.5/1) stud/8 Spewing with a baby pair?
Agreed. Fold third. But now that you're involved I like the bet on 5th. I'm really surprised *no one* folded here with these ugly boards and the small pot. Since they all called, they'll probably...

Re: a fourth street play - $3/6 Stud High

Probably bet sixth. Seventh is fine.

I know nothing about stud high, but is it standard procedure not to give Seat 6 credit for the flush (or a straight) here? From my...

Stud/8 - flush on 5th
Because I was getting killed, I've been on a fairly long break from stud/8 (esp. on Stars) but their 2-for-1 FPP promotion got me back in a .50/1 game. Lost another 20BB in 30min. No reads on...

Re: Player Notes on Paradise

Is there a way to tell which players I have notes on?
Thanks

If you go to the lobby, they'll have a * at the end of their name if you have a note on them.

If you have Aces on third street in an eight-way pot, you'll probably have a 25% or so chance of winning.

Re: Stud8 - Day 6, Hand 4: Yes, it\'s a 3-flush
I don't play any stud high so I don't really know the value of a live 3-flush on 4th, but that's where I muck this hand after catching a totally useless 8. Especially with the 5 catching an Ace.

Re: 8/b - Trips on 5th st.
I'm not one to play split pairs often so I'd probably fold 3rd. I think this hand is a good example of the kind of dangerous situations you can get into.
I think the bet on 5th is fine. It's...

I play it the same

Yep, it's going to cost so little to get to a heads-up showdown to possibly eliminate someone that it's an easy easy call. Same if I had (28)5.

Re: 2+2 Tourney - Hand 2
I think it's somewhat dependent on who you're up against.
Even though Seat 6 caught good on 4th, I can't see not betting out here. On 5th he catches perfect. It will now cost you 3BB to get...

Cool video. Funny thing when I was watching it, I kept looking to where I was, trying to see my hole cards, lol. I find it interesting seeing other people's settings too--I hate the 2-color deck!...
