Re: Video of Table Selection using PAHUD

I am interested in seeing the rest of this video -- please upload it to another filesharing site if you can, and if not, I can seed it on [censored] for weeks on end (I have a lot of bandwidth at my...

Re: No content - complaining, actually!

Yeah, it's sad but not unusual to swing like that if there are a couple of action players like NEWYLUCK and a few donks in the game. I give a lot of action in other hands sometimes to encourage...

Re: Understanding high pairs in Stud/8

My normal game is the 10/20 stud8 on Party and I do not often play one way big pair hands like split Js,Qs,Ks. I do not even feel like I'm giving up much EV by passing them by, either. Against...

Re: another common stud/8 situation

Aye.

Always, always, always be thinking: how can I scoop this pot? Every street. That should be the first question in your mind. With 245J in a multiway pot, you have almost zero hope. Even...

Re: Stud/8: How Should I Play 6th and 7th on this hand?

The only thing I question here is that you "know" the guy has a 6 low. The only way I think you could "know" for sure that someone had a 6 low is if they had like A236 up or 2346. One brick or one...

Re: Value bet this river

One way of fixing the "leak" could be simply to avoid trouble high hands like split jacks, queens, and kings in a multiway pot. The problem is that when you're against more than 1 low draw, they're...

Re: Help build my bankroll.

Well, mostly because its like monsters under the bed. You can't be afraid of every card that falls thats an overcard to your pair. That's playing scared poker. I like to gain information as...

Re: Help build my bankroll.

3rd street - Looks fine to me, I don't think you bring it in for the full amount with concealed queens.

4th street - Here's where I think you could have done something differently. Given that an...

Re: Value bet this river

I find it very, very difficult to value bet a single pair on the end in 8/b. The reason being is that so many low hands start out as mere low hands and end up making 2 pair along the way and THEY...

Re: Anyway I can lay this down 8/b 10-20

I know MRKKLEEN well. He is a decent player but he thinks too highly of himself and his own play skill. I've seen him berate players for drawing out on him plenty (myself being one of them, heh)...

Re: How Bad Do I Suck

Hmm. This post reminds me of Brunson's section in SS2 where he says "Stud 8 isn't a game where you ever have to take a stand." Yet that's precisely what you're doing here, reraising a probable...

Re: The logic for completing/raising in Stud 8

The 10/20 games have been great lately, but you're right -- the 5/10 has been non-existant and I don't really play the 3/6 anymore so I can't comment on that. I'll keep my SN a secret....

The logic for completing/raising in Stud 8

Hi all. I've been doing some thinking lately about the merits of completing/raising on 3rd street in Stud8 and I was hoping I could get some data together about how other players in this forum...

Re: 7 card stud hi/lo is.......

I've been playing Stud/8 at Party pretty exclusively over the last month and the games are usually always good at 3/6 but as you climb to 5/10 and 10/20, things get much much worse. It's extremely...

Re: 1/2 and 2/4 at PP tightening up?

Yeah, from my experience the play has been a lot tighter in general at 3/6 and particularly at 5/10 on PP the last couple weeks. The 3/6 is generally all right there with games in the $45-60 range...

O8 Betting Theory Question(s)

As often is the case in poker, I know the answers to many of my questions will be "it depends", but I just want to see if I can get some sort of general idea / consensus of what people like to do...

I want to order SSHE but I am moving soon. If I place my order today from Conjelco, should I have the book sent to my new address or my current one? Basically -- when is the estimated ship date? ...
