Re: Can You Call This down. - SURPRISING RESULTS!
Seat 2 isn't a genius. He's spewing, and it worked out because no one had improved at all. You said that Seat 5 is loose-passive. If Seat 2 has a pattern mapper and knew that Seat 5 only had the...

Re: $5/$10 Stud Hi - Rolled
I think you probably got as much money out of this one as possible. Either way, opponents are going to be cautious when that third heart hits on 5th, so there's no guarantee of picking up extra...

Re: What would you rather have?
I don't think there's a right answer. It's kind of a silly question... like, when I have the K-5-K do I know that I'm up against A-J-7s? If so, it's pretty easy to play the hand perfectly, and vice...

Re: Tourney Schedule
Yeah, hopefully some more stud/8 people show up next time. There's something just not right about me placing in the money at stud/8.

Re: Funny Hand
[ QUOTE ]
If they think you're stealing, that's a good reason to just bet on fourth.
When someone raises on third and then checks after pairing his door card, alarm bells should go off. I lean...

Re: A Heads-Up Hand - Standard?
Well, what's the reason for the raise? Do you think you're still ahead at this point? Do you think he's capable of laying down the hand before the river UI if you keep firing at him?

Re: $10/20 stud hand

Wouldn't it of been better to bet 5th instead, hoping to get it raised and face them with 2 cold? If you still feel your hand is best now you can 3bet him.

Re: stud high
Beer: you left out the dead clubs. If you put the guy on a Q's and J's, you also have to figure that the J/images/graemlins/club.gif is possibly in his hand. This drops your average equity to...

Re: $3/$6 hand
What makes it tough is that he might be willing to raise with K's up in this spot. I think check-calling the river is the better plan in this spot--you have to be worried that either one of them...

Re: to slowplay or not to slowplay?
It's hard to say. I would prefer betting out on 4th if there were more hands that looked like solid draws. But A-4, 9-2, J-2 offsuit and 3-Q suited for the bringin... I think you might be better...

But if a significant number of people's reason for wanting these tourneys is to be...

Re: 30/60 Stud hi hand
lstream: good point about 8-8-A being a possibility. I wouldn't be surprised if that were what was shown down. However, if that's the read that makes capping the river appropriate, then it is...

Re: I hate two small pair
Would you consider check-folding on 5th? You have basically no shot at the low, and you can easily be behind for the high.

Re: adjustments for 3/6 and 5/10
Well, I don't know if this actually speaks to the reason why you're doing better... but with the same ante but relatively higher bet sizes, the 5/10 game is going to reward tight, conservative play. ...

Well, you know what went wrong here, it seems. You can consider folding 3rd, but after that you should be going to the river (especially since the paired door is already all-in).
What do you put...

Re: 30/60 Stud hi hand
Heh, how tricky/aggressive is Seat 3? I think he's saying pretty clearly "I've got aces" on 4th. I think this is a fold on 4th (or 5th, if you must peel one on 4th) unless you know he's likely to...
