Re: Am I overplaying draws again? 200NL
If villain will fold anything less than a set, this is a great move, but in my opinion, overbetting the pot all-in seems too much like a draw. He has to be thinking, why would he raise to 5 times the...

Re: Weak-tight or well-done? TPTK, NL200
Are you saying that it is bad play to checkraise on that flop in villain's shoes if he had a pocket pair, a king, or an eight? If I'm going to contest the pot with those hands, I think I check-raise...

Re: Weak-tight or well-done? TPTK, NL200
Soah, what if villain isn't bluffing and thinks that he has the best hand with a pocket pair, a king, or an eight? Do you think those hands make up a big enough portion of his hand range to warrant...

Re: deepish PP $200 - Q4o turns full-house
I don't think he can have a draw here. You have Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif so he can't have top pair + flush draw combo, and any other regular draw, he's probably checking behind on the turn. That...

Re: Am I an idiot?
Since you're new here, I'll give you a tip. Don't name a thread "Am I an idiot" and then post a bad beat. You won't get no for an answer.

Re: Question about top two---400 NL
For the people advocating a smaller valuebet, do you guys fold to a raise? I really don't like a push because you're beat most of the time when you get called and a better hand isn't folding.

You were naming hands that that have outs to beat me and that list included a random King or an Eight, which don't have outs against me. Their outs make me a straight, where did 2 pair...

Re: 2/4 NL. Someone explain this to me
Before we all start calling villain a donk, I think you should give us the most important piece of information for this hand, your table image. If you've been playing like a maniac, it was your...

Re: Maybe a stupid question?

Keeping the pot small and extracting value from crushed hands can make up for the fact that you will get outdrawn--but when you get outdrawn the pot will be small so you can get away...

Re: I just wanna beat you
What's so bad about that turn check? I don't mind it at all, especially against someone who's gunning for you.

Re: My brilliant idea!
I don't think this is the optimal way to make money because there will come times as you move up when you'll have to play shortstacked, and it's very likely that you'll bust out. But it's a good idea...

A couple of bluffs from last night
I feel like I'm bluffing a lot more now than before, and I sometimes wonder if I'm overdoing it. Thanks for any comments. I haven't shown down a lot of bluffs this section, and I had pretty tight...

Re: Playing KK right on 50NL?
[ QUOTE ]
In today's looser games, 4x the bb with KK may not be enough to reduce the competition to 1 other player. In my opinion, when the stakes are low, the multiple of the bb is not respected...

Re: 50NL: Did I make the right move?
I think it's close. The pot is giving you good odds, and you only have to be win 35% of the time. I would feel better about calling if you had bet more on the flop, which would make KJ unlikely.

Re: How\'s your SSNLHE?: 22
I like leading or check-raising that flop. I want to win the pot now. I might check-call, lead turn if I have a hand like 88 or 77, but 22 is just too vulnerable to try to take this hand further than...
