Re: $11: Call this early position push
why would you even think about calling here? you're only getting 1.4:1 and there is a player still to act after you. i'm assuming that you're the sb, correct?

Re: Curtains: pick off a PVS?

Would folding be terrible?

I would have overpushed because it's too likely, given the BB's stack, the stack sizes of the other players (giving him reason to believe that...

Re: Curtains: pick off a PVS?
Say you limped like Curtains did. You would have then called the push, correct?
BTW, thank you for your old level 3 and 4 posts. When I read them, it was like someone turned the SNG light on for...

Re: $11: JJ early game, interesting hand
Don't get me wrong. JJ is a great hand. I think that there are times that I play them much stronger than a lot of players.
Say it's level 3, UTG mini-raises, gets a call, and I'm on the button...

Re: best hand ever
I vaguely remember winning an $11 SNG once when I was dealt 5c6c, flop came with the 2c,3c. I pushed, villain called. When I saw that I missed my draw, I was shocked to see the chips going in my...

I disagree with a small raise here. That doesn't do anything except build the pot, which is not what I want with my JJ. I am trying to isolate with that raise. In that situation, I like...

Re: $11: JJ early game, interesting hand
Why such a massive raise PF? It's not like there's much out there worth taking down at that point, so one of three things is going to happen:
1) You win a very small pot pre-flop and basically...

Doesn't a PVS type move by BB seem highly likely here? Any temptation to call (over-push) because of this, plus the overlay?
