Re: funky funky

I think you did fine, though folding preflop certainly isn't awful.

Re: 2/4 Folding a flush when board pairs on river

Is the Villain really going to bet a wide variety of hands on *this* board? Only if he's crazy...

Re: 2/4 Folding a flush when board pairs on river

A lot of people are saying block bet.

I hate this idea at times. First of all, he may min. raise me if he has a hand. Even if you're "blocking" the river, it's pretty tough to fold with those...

He called the CRAI, he had KJ.

A diamond showed up on the river and MHIG.

2/4 AK TPTK picks up nut flush draw on turn. Line?

Villain is 36/6.5/1.7 What should be my line on the turn here? I actually CR'ed all-in but I think leading all-in might actually be better. It's hard for him to call then. I have the ace. What...

Re: 2/4 Folding a flush when board pairs on river

AA? He played this hand immensely strangely if he had AA. Certainly not like a player with his aggression statistics would.

AJ seems at first glance a possibility, but I highly doubt he'd check...

2/4 Folding a flush when board pairs on river

Villain is 30/6/3 By the river, I figured I was ahead of exactly a bluff and that's it. Is it ok? What do you put him on?

Re: Quick math question

OK not getting any help here.

Let's say, just for fun, that he calls with any Ace, any 2 face, any pair.

Is the push right or neutral then?

Quick math question

2/4 blinds.

Folded to you in SB w/ K /images/graemlins/spade.gif 3 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

BB has $27. He's average. I have a very tight image.

Is it +EV to push? If not, is it so...

2/4 Inside straight and flush draw - suggest a better line.

Both Villains are around 24/10/3. Can someone suggest a better line, or is this played properly? I was thinking maybe I should have bet 1/2 pot on flop to induce a raise so I could 3bet all in. ...

2/4 AK faces aggression on turn

I don't have many hands on Villain but he seems like he's probably a tight multitabler. Do you push or fold the turn?

Re: 1/2 $200 Max, full ring Live with Middle Set

The check-raise all in seems to be the right play. It's very likely someone will bet.

Leading for around half pot is the 2nd best play.

I like to limp TT in games like these early. It doesn't...

Re: playing 2 queens in the sb against an aggressive player

If he's raising with junk all the time, why aren't you reraising what is virtually a lock to be the best hand? Sure, I'll call w/ QQ if the guy is a tight raiser but you have to reraise here.

Re: NL500: 99 preflop to close the action

Looks like a pretty easy fold. You don't have odds to call for the set.

Actually most of them around here are either ginos or wannabe ginos (that thought is rather puzzling).

My One Thousandth post. The irritation of \"souped up\" cars.

Seriously, what is up with souped up cars? Why is it legal to make your car as noisy as possible? I am going to be writing to my Member of Parliament about this.

I dunno about you guys, but I...

Re: Trouble With Set.

It's almost certainly right to just call this bet and hope the board pairs. Fold to any real river bet if it doesn't.

Re: 2/5 Live NL I love playing big pots with 1 pair

I think he's trying to sucker you by overbetting and I'm guessing you were behind. AQ should be a very plausible hand for you given the action and he doesn't seem to care.

Re: 3/6 NL Stars hand

Raising preflop is fine but you should be raising to $30 or so. Bet around 3/4 pot on flop. You should probably fold to the flop raise, if you play it this way. As played, it's very difficult to...
