Re: Boring QQ hand against a nemesis.
I think your line is fine. You are not folding a 7 with the 150 and an over pair like 9s or 10s will likely call. Was this a blocking bet? (I think its a fold if raised) What was your plan if SB...

Re: Gambler\'s Fallacy-->Can I Call?
If you are not going to play back at him with TT on that flop after calling his raise and your history, you need to leave the table. It's the only way to avoid marginal decisions against someone who...

Re: steping out of line (long)
When you see a solid player make a "donk" move, don't assume it was not made without thought. Maybe the donk move is based on a read. Do you sometimes make calls in largish pots with middle pair...

Re: $2/$5 PL 63s turns flush
Based on your reads and his line, you have to call the river bet and (depending on how much you trust your read) I'd consider a raise.
Your read tells you that this good player's raise into two...

Re: NL100 newbie AK aftrer raise question
If you know he has a pair, and you think those behind you will not call a reraise with anything but a huge hand, fold. You are a dog to his pair.
If there are weak players behind you that will...

Re: AK against Captain Insano
If he would call all in with no more than 2 broadways or any pair (and based on OP's read that he was crazy preflop, he would) then a push is a no brainer IMHO.

Re: Standard Fold RIght?
In a limped pot with no stated reads, I think this is optimistic/foolish. I fold here even though I may be ahead because If Im behind, Im in big trouble and calling or raising means having to play a...

Re: 888 on the Flop
I appreciate the comments 4_2.
I didnt want to flat call and guess after the turn with maniac potentially coming along when there are so many over cards that would scare me.
I really thought I...

Re: 888 on the Flop
harsher responses than I thought.
My thoughts. Button would have raised with a high pair especially after 2 limpers. So I thought there was a good chance he had an underpair and raised to...

Re: Live 1/3 NL hand, tough KK
The only hand that you could possibly be ahead of here is QQ, and I doubt that Villain has the stones/lack of brain cells necessary to push with QQ on that river. Bottom line is that you are cooked...

Re: Time to push?
Insta call. He raised the flop without any draw. Very unlikely that he hit a flush. If so you have to live with it. I smell a pair bigger than JJ.

Re: 89s hand Live 1/2
Potting the flop and playing further is not an option. Pot is $80 by the time it gets to hero and he has only has $85 left. This is all in or fold. I'd need a good read that my flush draw is good...

Re: Things you remind yourself of while you play
I remind myself before every session to take implied odds and don't give them. Helps with capitalizing on the mistakes of your opponents and folding one pair hands before you end up in a big pot

Re: A question on the standard AK line
It's really weak not to raise this if the board is no flush with no realistic straight possibility - and Im guilty of weak tight river calls. You are only worried about a set - which is not out of...

Villain tabled the worst played KK I've ever seen.
I see monsters under the bed at night too!
BTW: Villain had @$100 to start the hand.
