Re: Stud/8 tournament, 2 pair ,no low

Yea, I limp ALOT in tourneys and I'm not always sure when to put the raise in on 3rd especially at loose tables.

Re: Stud/8 Tournament, Not quite sure where I\'m at

[ QUOTE ]
Complete third, bet 6th, DEFINITELY bet 7th.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats pretty much what I figured. I got scared on 6th and didn't want to put money in with one pair against someone who is...

Stud/8 Tournament, Not quite sure where I\'m at

I think I missed a couple clear value bets, should I bet 6th and/or 7th?

Tournament - 7 Card Stud High-Low - Level VI (150/300), Ante 25, Bring-In 50 (converter (http://j.1asphost.com/greenage))

Stud/8 tournament, 2 pair ,no low

Does this look right?

table is pretty loose passive for the most part.

Re: Is this a nutty play at a wild table?

I think raising third would make this hand play alot better, you may even get it heads up. Folding can't be too wrong though.

I wouldn't c/r the river, it looks like hes on a flush draw and I...

Re: 2/4 Stud HI hand.

[ QUOTE ]
i dont like 1/2 dead 3 straights with no good pair outs, even with 5 way action.

Agreed. I'm not saying a fold is bad. just that a call could be marginally justified at a...

Re: Stud/8 hand from a total newbie

[ QUOTE ]
Raise third, charging the low draws, since you are the only one obviously playing for the high half, diamonds are dead, and many low cards are spent already, making the deck heavy in high...

Re: Stud 8 and questionable 6th street call?

4th is definately worth a reraise against what looks like two high hands.

7th is also worth the extra bet IMO, unless seat 7 has something like A /images/graemlins/heart.gif3...

Re: 2/4 Stud HI hand.

[ QUOTE ]
your cards are dead on 3rd, even a limp is incorrect.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont think a call on 3rd is wrong given, i assume from this hand, the implied odds hes getting to hit 4th street....

Re: $5/$10 Stud Hi - Rolled

I sort of agree with iamastud, if you cold call 4th it looks like a 4 flush or some decent drawing hand so your not going to scare anyone away from betting 5th unless you hit a heart. Since you did...

Re: Split the Stud Forum?

yea, this could be good. I still don't think there are enough people in the respective groups to keep a forum going though, maybe though.

I think iamastud hit the major points, so go with that.

Re: Split the Stud Forum?

There just aren't enough stud players to split the forum, I don't think it would happen.

Re: Stud Hi .5/1: did I go too far here?

I don't think I would be too worried about seat 1, looks like he has something like a pair and a straight draw and is just going to try and get to the river.
You can be pretty certain, i think, that...

Re: Stud/8 hand from a total newbie

Since I don't know the upcards of the other guy it could be tough to give an analysis of this one. But you have a monster hand bet it all the way unless you have a real good reason not too.

Re: Rolled vs paired ace door

Agreed, I think trips are pretty unlikely at this point. I put a raise in and see where I'm at.

Re: 20/40 Bad call on third and getting what I deserved.

This is an open forum man, if you don't want input from the general public you shouldn't post the hands here IMO. PM those 5 people or something. And there is just no reason to criticise people with...

Re: Stud/8 overplayed hand

I think the raise on 5th is right because you can force the 256 out if he doesn't have a low, and since he was the bring in he doesn't have to have much so put as much pressure on him to fold as you...

Re: (.5/1) stud/8 Spewing with a baby pair?

I probably don't call the bring in if all my cards are completely live. Small pairs are no good if you don't have another baby or ace to go with it.

Your drawing to the high half of the pot with...

Re: (.5/1) stud/8 With trips should I have charged these lows?

I like the way you played the whole thing up to the river. Checking might be a little better alternative. I just think it is to easy for one of them to hit a low straight or a flush here for you to...

Re: Stud/8 overplayed hand

I think i agree with scags on everything. Third is a tough spot especially with your 7 up against a few wheel cards. The rest looks good except for the river, he has to have one pair beat in this...
