Re: 10/20, AQo, river action?
I bet the turn here. Yup I know I have the gutshot but he could be in there with a heart draw or Ax and he is mad or a small PP. It is very unlikley he would fold a small pair here but now with 2...

Re: No idea how to play this one
With a 3rd (4th? - HH is confusing!) player in the pot a bet out is better than a CR. At least let the raise from MP eliminate him /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Without a read this is a difficult...

Re: 20/40 pp wtf which street do you play dif.
Not easy. We only have 1 piece of information on this player but it might be valuable. He has open-limped! This is not the action of an aggressive player.
Now, limpers are by definition poor...

Re: 77 out of position.
As the other replies have indicated there are 2 good reasons to 3-bet the flop.
1) You probably have the best hand so the bet is for value. I used to often just call here and then bet a non ...

Re: Give me a plan to move up.
I have not played 2/4 or 3/6 for quite a while but when I did play there the games were looser and more passive than 10/20+.
I played for a while at 5/10 and 10/20 6 max before moving higher. 6...

Re: Flop action.
I like the logic and if the limpers were as logical as you then check/calling makes a lot of sense.
However, my instinctive reaction would be to CR and having thought it through, I would still...

Re: thought on a river bet
It might help to know something about the opponent.
However, absent that, let's have a go.
He "probably" has no 8 and no King since you did not get donked or CR on the turn. We do not know...

Re: red 88...play along with me
I would normally limp.
I would raise if the field were weak and passive since I may get a "free" 4th card to spike my set and that "cost" would be close to zero due to the preflop odds. If I hit...

Re: spitting midhigh
It is clear that the 15/30 and 20/40 players have a problem on this forum.
To suggest that their posts belong alongside 2/4 or 3/6 hands is ludicrous and while I respect the many regular posters...

Re: Played Bad Against Unknown?
Assuming it is played as you do to the turn, how bad would a turn bet be?
You considered but rejected the semi-bluff CR. How about the SB bet?
I'd be interested in views on this for this game....

Re: I hate these hands...PP 15/30
Flawless_victory,
I have read a lot of your posts and you quite obviously DO know how to play limit. It seems clear to me that your experience is far greater than mine.
Presumably this means...

Re: I hate these hands...PP 15/30
These are always difficult situations but the problem with checking behind is that you lose a BB against JJ, TT, 88 who may call you down. Since this player is good, he is less likely to have peeled...

Re: A proper use of the donk bet?
Sorry for the bump guys but I'd really appreciate some comments on this.

A proper use of the donk bet?
I was impressed with UTG here - he had 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif8 /images/graemlins/club.gif
I would not have considered the donk bet play here but it looks spot on to me.
Should I have...

Re: Too much or just right?
I must admit the thought of checking the river never occurred to me on the turn. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I raised because:-
a) I did not rule out the possibility of 88 or 99 with MP
b) I...
