Re: MPTK flop raise, turn . . .
I probably ditch it when he fires again on the paired turn. He sounds straightforward and he's telling you he has a good hand (probably top pair or better).
Looking at the river - busted flush or...

Re: 5/10 : two JTo hands
I don't play 5/10 (3/6 for me) but I know that I'm 3 betting a fair number of hands that don't have an A from the blinds against a blind steal. I'd be tempted to reraise the flop.
I guess it kind...

Re: The Six Max Ladder
Even if you're rolled for the 3/6 game, i'd suggest playing 2/4 at stars for a little while. The swinginess of 6max coupled with the larger bets can be a bit stressfull if you're not ready for it....

I'm about the same build as you. I just got some pretty nice Ralph Lauren jeans, and some of the Calvin Klein ones fit nice as well. I think the RL are my favorite though, something like this...

Blind Defense Against LAG
Villian in this hand is a LAG, 43/22/3 over about 65 hands. I'd seen him raise 22 from MP or CO and bet & raise on a AxKxK board. I've seen him raise 45s UTG, and he's taking shots at the blinds...

I think by checking the river you're screaming "I give up, take the pot, the A just scared me." Either c/c or b/f.

Ditto for sucking there as well. Stupid river. I kinda started pussing out though so I've returned to Party for a little to remind myself what it's like to win.

Re: 3-5 handed?
I'm at work right now, but those numbers looked about like mine did. I spewed a lot 3 handed, so I just started leaving when it got that short. I also ran pretty bad there, a TON of suckouts on the...

Re: Do I have to bet this turn?
Yuck. That turn card sucks. BB seems solid with those nubmers, though pretty aggro postflop. What's he 3 betting preflop and leading out with on that board that doesn't have an A? Probably not TT or...

Re: Standard river fold? inspired by jt1.
As it played out, call and make some notes on what he open/limped from button, whether he bluff/raised, etc.
I agree though that checking lets smaller PP and K's off the hook that may have paid...

Re: Standard river fold? inspired by jt1.
Like 55/66? I would think the point of limping those from the button would be to see a favorable flop before you commit more money, which this defenitely isn't. But if he called you this far with...

Re: Standard river fold? inspired by jt1.
I don't know, I hate these spots. I always puss out and check/call, which is kinda weak.
Edit - I'll sometimes make a move like this against a tight, thinking player with a busted draw, like Q10,...

I had the same experience there. I was never really able to get into a groove, and that combined with the aweful rake gave me about a 12k breakeven stretch clearing various PokerRoom bonuses.
I...

Re: Rip this apart, Freeshowdown Mid Pair?
Based on that hand (and I'm assuming you had others like it before the original hand) I probably just call down against this guy. Though it still sucks that he donked the turn after the river raise....
