Re: Lay down Kings preflop?
I don't know what type of games you play but in So Cal our live games are extremely aggressive and half of the table is just as likely to have 1010 or AQ than big PP when they move all in preflop. ...

Re: Lay down Kings preflop?
In a money game this would be very hard to do unless you KNOW the player and KNOW that is the only hand he could have. Having just sat down into that type of game you have to call. The only caveat...

Re: 2/4 NL - who\'s holding what?
This is tough. Easiest read is BB who has set 6's or 3's. PFR, well I may make a move on pot with that size raise preflop so I'm going with KJ(though it is a perfect flop to smooth call w/JJ).MP,...

Re: Starting to use the Check-raise (Part 2)
This game takes a long time to master and it will take us years to really get a grip and hopefully we NEVER get to a point where we think we know it all. Your uncertainty shows that your trying to...

[ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ] even a bad weak tight player can look at the raise on the flop and realize that most players dont raise flush draws, especailly at this level.
That arguement trumps me...

Re: Starting to use the Check-raise (Part 2)
I missed that the K made the flush on the turn. I still make the bet. Your committed and I play with enough weak tight players that would actually lay down a small-med flush if ck raised in that...

Re: Starting to use the Check-raise (Part 2)
The decesion is predicated on the read of the player. A weak tight player never comes back at you, his lack of aggression comes from the fact that he always thinks the worst has/or will happen. ...

Re: Starting to use the Check-raise (Part 2)
Why wouldn't you want to do this again? You made a perfect read on the weak tight player. You had big blind that the the flop may have hit. A tight player may have a flush draw or possible...

Re: preflop decision...standard?
The only time you fold that hand in this game is when you have a strong read on that player and you see he is a very tight player.

Re: Jacks in the BB - reraise ???
I think you played the hand perfectly by relying on your read. Against a solid, tight player this would be an easy hand to lay down. JJ should be treated as a med pair just like 99 or 1010. I...

Re: AJo raise question
I believe there is another alternative. It may appear as a weak play but doubling the blind is not necessarily a bad play. Everyone else should be playing just as tight as you are at this point so...

Weak player how. Weak tight Weak loose?? I don't think it's ever wrong to check here. What do you do with an all in move? Why give them a chance to make a play at you.

Re: this hand got my chat revoked
I love to check raise on the flop when I hit a small-med flush. You know from the type of players and action before the flop, that someone will move on the pot. I almost always ck raise then go all...
