Re: top 2 pair. slowdown on the turn?
[ QUOTE ]
the river is a easy bet/call
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? You want to lead the river after villain caps the turn? We don't have a read that villain is a maniac. In fact, I think the read...

99 vs. LAG
Villain is seeing almost everyflop, usually for a raise. Loves to bluff, but I haven't really picked up much of a pattern to his betting, i.e. when does he donk vs. c/r, etc.
His stats are...

forgot to mention. villain was a little loose 40-ish/12. agg ~1.2 i think. i thought my 3-bet was good, but the cap obviously makes me think trips.

Re: AK line against TAG. What you think?
[ QUOTE ]
Dont you think that villain plays Ak, AQ, AT, KQ like this here?
[/ QUOTE ]
In this case, no. You raised UTG. Villain isn't likely putting you on a steal raise, yet he still...

Re: 99 vs. two tricky players
I would like to add, that if we had a read that these guys are maniacs and will 3-bet with nothing on a regular basis, then I can see the calldown. But we have no such read.

Call the 3-bet.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why?
You noticed the 3-bet was a check/3-bet? You don't think that indicates he has at least a J or better? Very dry board, small pot...

Re: 99 in the BB
To me, the turn is the interesting street. After villain raises, it looks like an overpair. But we can't be certain, he could just have something like...

Re: hand
If all you have are stats, then WTSD and W$SD would be useful stats to know. If he's a calling station, bet. If he's weak-tight postflop (obviously not preflop), then check behind.

Re: 77 vs single
Normally I fold to the turn c/r, but you say they're starting to take shots at you, so it's hard to say. You say you've caught 3-4 bluff attempts, which means you called them down and won? Showing...

Re: 3/6: Call-CR Blind defense with AA
I think the turn if fine, I'm just wondering if we still like our hand if villain then raises the river. After the turn action, I think our hand is good. If he raises the river, he would have to...

Re: 3/6: Call-CR Blind defense with AA
The turn is the tricky spot. Since you slow-played the AA preflop, your flop C/R probably tells him you have a T, so he may think his AT/JJ-KK are the nuts. So it's hard to interpret the meaning of...

Re: Equity cap--standard?
If you were in position, then it's automatic. OOP, I might prefer just calling the 3-bet. If you hit your hand (another J, T, or /images/graemlins/heart.gif), you can check-raise the BB, trapping...

Scenario I: I 3-bet preflop and he calls. I autobet the flop.
Scenario II: I call preflop and checkraise his autobet.

Fastplay is the new slowplay?
Well you can't check the flop, that just screams monster after your preflop raise.
If you know your opponent to be very aggressive, and will always bet if you...

Villain just sat down, but so far he seems pretty loose passive, calling with most anything. Probably not the best opponent to be trying to semibluff against.

Re: 5/10 - AQs river decision
I don't think there's any way he plays 2-pair or a set this passively (before the river, that is), so 3-bet and confidently call a cap.
