Re: Interesting Situation -- Preflop and Flop Play?

I will take a stab at this.
I give myself 5.5 outs. 1.5 for the flush, 4 for the straight.
Zero for the overcards because:
a) The straight might be outdrawn and I need to factor it somehow

Re: A Simple 60/120 Flop Play (poll included)

Hi Rick,

I gave 2 for the T's, 1.5 for the flush, and 1 for the straight and 3's. I dont know if I am close but I believe you must assign numbers.

btw I play limits way lower than 60/120 but I...

Re: A Simple 60/120 Flop Play (poll included)

Why o why is this a fold?
You need 3.9 outs to make a call. You have at least 4.5 outs.

The button may raise but even still I think it is a clear call. Clearly I am missing something.

Re: JTs in the BB

This looks 50:50 to me. What hands could he have?
AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ, you win against about 1/2 these. I call the river raise.

Why not bet the Turn?

Also the players after you might all call.

Re: Another flop decision poll decision post.

I call.
You need 2.9375 outs to make a call. I think you have that even taking into account the possible action after your call.

Re: How does this look?

The odds of spiking a king and ten is worth about 1/2 out. He has 2.5 outs.

Re: Overcards drive me nuts

I would try for a check raise in hand 1. He caped preflop so chances are he will bet the flop. That gives you a better chance of getting the BB to fold.

SSH page 80/81 question

Late Position Raise: AA-99, AKs-A8s, KQs-KTs, QJs, Ak-AT, KQ
SB/BB Raise: AA-99, AKs-ATs, KQs-KJs, Ak-AQ

Why do you raise less hands in the SB/BB?

Re: Flop decision

20 bets so if you have more than 4 outs it is just about a call, as long as the BB does not raise. You could end up paying if it is capped 4 small bets to win 31 which means you would need about 5.5...

Note that with an ace on board no one can draw to overcards. Anyone who thinks they have outs actually does have outs.

That is a new insight for me, Thanks!

Re: SSH page 135 question

Let me ask my question in a different way.

You make top pair on the river with a low kicker. Would you rather have King's or Ace's?
