JJ is killing me. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm losing way toooo much money on JJ. Tonight for example I lost 100BB in 4 JJ hands, 0 - 4. I'm guessing JJ has troubled others...

Re: Top Pair on the Flop, facing a raise......Good Laydown?

Re: overpair out of position. advice?

agree with the PF raise post...
also maybe think about overbetting the flop.
1. you're probably not going to improve and may have to fold if an A K Q hit, not to mention the straight draw.
2. ...

Re: still pretty new to the game...did i do anything wrong...or just unluc

11% chance or 8:1 odds of flopping the set. you gotta put in 1.50 to get his 19.50 stack or 13:1 odds. not a bad call, but you have to expect that you can take his whole stack. with a 4xBB PF...

his min raise could represent a hand that he will continue playing if you reraised him back, but it could also represent a bet based soley on what he perceives as your weak...

Re: good fold or too weak?

so at what point in your example are you "pot committed?" like in your example...you should be calling or betting your last 7 bucks when the pot size is 36. this is close to 5-1 odds....so is this...

Re: good fold or too weak?

how does the 40BB stack size come into play? i hear a lot about being willing to go allin with TPTK in short stacked games (ie party poker). would anyone mind explaining this to me briefly? ...

Re: Second Best, Good or Bad Call?

i'm not sure leading out on the flop was a good idea with such bad position. you have three behind you, and the only person who is calling your bet either has a 6 or a jack i would think. what else...

Re: no idea what to do here

i agree with the other post...
bet the pot, i've been in the same situation a lot and find that you'll get a lot of pots that way without having to see the turn. if someone is calling, i'd say 75%...

Re: folded a set, right play?

disagree with the slowplay on the flop...just my opinion though.

i think betting the flop is the best strategy cause:

1. if you check the flop, everyone may see the turn for free... the...

Re: Overbetting Pots on Flopped Sets...good idea in low limit NLHE?

[ QUOTE ]

#1: I'm not a huge fan of you calling a 2.50 raise with 77. You need to be collecting a $17.50 pot everytime you hit your trips for this to be worthwhile.

i agree...
