$3-6 at Pokerroom
Has anyone else noticed that the $3-6 at Pokerroom has gotten very tough recently? All of a sudden there seem to be a lot of rocks and and both the fish and LAGs seem to be thinking more post flop. ...

PREFLOP: I would fold, I know your in the SB so you have a little discount but 99 does not play well OOP against the usual range of an UTG raiser. Another factor that should make you lean...

Re: Defending your BB in Limit
Here's the thinking I find useful:
"Still another great player says he’ll usually defend with anything, even 3-2 offsuit. Good players do this because the pot is laying them 3.5-1 immediately (the...

I just read the article in question and it seems to make a lot of sense (cents /images/graemlins/smile.gif) to me. I'm way too tight with my bb defense and this approach seems like it's worth a try....

Re: Is it OK to cold call in this situation?
This is an interesting discussion. I agree that KJo is a muck here. I think K9s is a borderline ok coldcall vs 2 limpers and a LAG raiser. I was wondering what others thought regarding the lower...

Re: Overcall with the 2nd Nuts?
With the CO late posting $7, I think you should open raise pre-flop. I can't imagime what the CO & BU might have with their flop calls, but I'd raise on the turn to charge them if they want to try...

Re: trips vs flush (or boat)? party 30/60
On average, BB will have a flush approx 37% (actually 36.363%) of the time. You’re getting 7-1 to call the River bet so you need to win 1 in 8 times to break even.
There are 6 non-heart better...

Re: The only thing I did right was 3 bet pre-flop.
I just got Texas Hold'em Odds by Catalin Baroianu so I thought I'd revisit this thread. If I understand these charts correctly, vs 2 opponents, the chances of at least one of them making a flush by...

The UTG raiser has been raising all of her hands so hero's 3 bet could be an isolation play as far as BB knows. BB could easily loosen his capping standards in this situation. Still BB could easily...

Re: Results
My bad 12-1. Right, it's 16-1 on the River call, closing the action. You have to be ahead at least once in 17 times with those unimproved draws on the board. Easy call.

Re: $15/$30 in NYC...Spewing chips?
3 betting Preflop OOP doesn't seem right vs 2 aggressive players, but it's close. I don't think it's worth it just to knock out the BB. Jamming on the flop doesn't seem right vs 2 opponents since...

I expect to get flamed for this but I just hate playing hands like Q9o OOP. You're only getting 5-1 on your call and if you only pair on the flop you never know where you're at vs a decent player. ...
