Re: What would you rather have?

40/60 is right. I was way off... however, I would probably rather have aj7 still.

also, if the ace is up... that's a big plus. cause you may get him to fold a better hand

Re: What would you rather have?

aj7 hands down.

I believe they're about a coin flip.

further more, aj7 will play a lot better. There are a lot of cards that make you a decided favorite... if you don't catch well, you won't...

PAhud what\'s most useful

I just got PAhud yesterday and am already amazed at how wonderful the program is. There are so many useful stats, and I guess that brings me to my question.

what stats, aside from v$pip, pfr, and...

hold my hand, I\'m dumb

I've been playing online poker for years. I'm a winning low stakes player, familiar with the game, but terribly computer illiterate.

This lack of computer literacy has really hurt my game because...

Re: flush draw... too aggressive?

on third, I'm not sure what I think... I realize the ante is small, and that's why I think the decision is close... for what it's worth, my a45 was about 50/50 vs. split kings (not to mention I may...

Re: flush draw... too aggressive?

I wanted the jack and the queen to fold.

my thoughts at the time were that the dead money in the pot + the improved chance of winning without making our flush (spiking an ace or two pair) were...

flush draw... too aggressive?

I think I played this hand fine, but I usually play a bit aggressive so I'm curious to hear other people's views.
specifically:
do you reraise third or just flat call?
do you 3 bet fourth?...

Re: Micro-Limit Stud

aka in that situation should be raised.
a hand like jacks or queens with a live straight flush kicker should usually be raised too
it's hands like jj5 rainbow and qq7 rainbow that you may not want...

Re: Bad kicker...maybe not so bad

with an ace, I think a kicker is insanely important since a lot of people like to play naked aces. However, I think that with other hands, a kicker is less important (still very important, but less...

Re: was I right to raise the turn?

you're right nick... my oversight, I forgot about that (since he folded) which, may I say, at the time really confused me

Re: was I right to raise the turn?

we don't lose implied odds, because if we hit a flush or straight, we won't get to raise on the river. an overcall or betting out would probably be more profitable. since everyone would be forced to...

Re: was I right to raise the turn?

i seriously considered raising the flop. I was torn between raising and calling. I wanted to tie the other players on to the pot because I figured no matter how many callers, if I hit my draw I would...

Re: Another 30/60 hi/low hand

don't forget about the dead 8. and that there aren't many sevens left. it makes it much more likely you are ahead for high, I think it is imperative to bet out fourth to put pressure on the ace that...

Re: Another 30/60 hi/low hand

tens are very marginal. I don't bring it in for the full bet here. I bet out fourth. fifth is fine. i don't mind sixth either. the river, I probably just check since there isn't much value in a bet...

Re: Last 30/60 hi/low hand

after he raises you on fifth, I slow down and just check call. he easily could have you beat based on his raise on fourth (a likely hand to raise with would be 2345). just call him down

Re: Help me with 30/60 h/l

88 your play?

just sat down at table, no reads
okay... a few questions.
1.) do most of you raise preflop here?
2.) raise the flop or just call?
3.) turn and river are played fine right?

Re: \"villainous\" sraight flush... vomit

I don't really think it was played perfectly
you think limping with j10 utg is okay?
what about the turn, should I have 3 bet?
what about the river, do you cap?
