Re: RESULTS, THOUGHTS
I'll tell you when I get back. /images/graemlins/cool.gif Hopefully it will be like my beloved 75 stud at the Taj Mahal.

RESULTS, THOUGHTS
Thanks for the responses. I'm actually surprised more people didn't like my raise (but as I said, I don't play much heads up stud). Basically, I feel like this: I have a gutshot and a 4-flush - if...

Re: $1/$2 Stud High - Stubborn straight draw
Third depends on how the game is playing. Having your straight cards live is good, your pair cards dead is not good. Has there been lots of raising on 3rd? If you think you can get in cheap, go...

RESULTS
Thanks for all the responses. I called UTG's bet on the river to look at his pocket aces. I think I should have raised the turn regardless, but I've been getting beat up lately and I was pretty...

A Heads-Up Hand - Standard?
Playing some 10-20 stud this afternoon on Party, heads up. My opponent seems somewhat too prone to fold and passive for this environment (but is also raising a little light on 3rd as expected). Then...

Re: $10/20 stud hand
[ QUOTE ]
Look at the action. It goes bet, call, call, and then raise. He never faces the field with two bets cold.

Checkraising the turn after this action is spewing. Plain...

Does a Better Player Play This Differently?
5 handed 10-20. I have K /images/graemlins/heart.gifQ /images/graemlins/heart.gif second to act. UTG raises...he seems decent, somewhat aggro but this is the first I've played with him. I reraise....

Re: 6th Street Bet > For Value or Draw? Both?
I raise 3rd after one limper with a three flush and overs. On 6th, just call the raise. His raise is a big move after you pair your door since he should be afraid. You said he was a donk, not a...

Re: 20/40 Getting aggressive
Don,
Mike was just joshing around with some of us with the tone of his post, then Uwda didn't see the humor, then Mike responded. He is actually a very nice guy (and hilarious) IRL even if he has...

Re: My TJ story, rewritten
Actually, from my degenerate gambling days, I am pretty sure Mostmooth's manual is correct as far as how the game is played in Atlantic City. I don't believe you can place a pass line bet in New...

Re: My thoughts
Carlos,
Great post. I agree with you about not betting if your opponent catches paint...I was speaking in generalities about the 6th street play, but your response is much better. I DEFINITELY...

Re: Made Flush, lots of action...
I actually like how you played every street, including the river. With clubs live as hell, you gotta give seat 7 a flush, but you have a pretty big flush yourself (note however, that the A...

Re: Any way to play this hand differently?
Get a raise in earlier than 5th...this isn't hold 'em. Also, you've represented a strong hand - it's doubtful your opponent is raising with a hand on 6th that can't beat two kings, esp. given his...

Re: AC questions
As long as you're fine with potentially dropping 4k, I don't see a problem playing 40-80 if you're beating the online games handily. It's a very good game. If this is your first time playing live,...

I think the line I would take is call PF and bet 3bet the flop. Arriving where you did on teh turn check and call/overcall, the check and call but don't overcall the river.

Re: Here\'s a Hand
I would do this in a lot of cases. But here, I just saw it as the button isolating the limper with whatever and (even though BB was loose), a 3-bet would likely get him out where two bets might not....
