Re: 5/10: QQ vs. lolo

Lolo is capable of having quad aces here, and also capable of having 74s.

5/10: QQ vs. lolo

So for those of you who don't know lolo, he's a super LAG. I haven't played an entire orbit this session yet when I get dealt QQ. Anyways, I'm curious to see what people think of the line taken here...

5/10: Fold top set?

No real reads on villain. From the 30 or so hands I've seen him play, he seems very loose and kinda nutty. I have been playing a very TAGgish game. Donk call or donk fold?

5/10: AQ defending big blind

I have shown very solid TAG play so far. I don't have too much of a read on villain, but he is 40/10 through only 84 hands. Thoughts on turn push? What range do you give villain? Is this an...

5/10: Quads, not quite getting it all in there

Just curious what you guys think of this quads line. I showed and villain told me what he had, its in the white. He also said by the river he had me on an 8. Curious if the turn push is the better...

3/6(6-max): Drunken TT overpair

3/6NL short-handed drunken poker. Opponents know I'm "drunk". Thoughts?

Re: 2-4NL, will i ever establish myself at this limit??

[ QUOTE ]
after all, thats the number 1 reason why we are playing the game.

I strongly disagree with this statement.

Re: 3/6(6-max): 88 overpair on flop

I'm shocked that everyone immediately rules out a continuation bet with AK/AQ just because there are two callers. The minraise in my opinion would get AK/AQ to fold. I think that was the main purpose...

Re: 3/6(6-max): 88 overpair on flop

Villain in this hand was horryclutch, a regular on Pocketfives. He was gracious enough to show me a set of 6's.

Re: 3/6(6-max): 88 overpair on flop

Ok, I can see your point there xorbie. Can you provide me with a better line to take? What would be your plan of action for this hand?

Re: 3/6(6-max): 88 overpair on flop

I think he will fold overcards to this raise. That is the purpose of the raise. Also to allow myself a cheap river card.

3/6(6-max): 88 overpair on flop

Villain in this hand is a regular, and I have him at 31/21 through 1.1K hands. I have played with him a bit and he seems fairly solid but this was one of the first hands he had played since he sat...

Re: JJ vs tricky aggressive villian (1/2 live)

I like it. You're not getting a call from a better hand. But I'm thinking you're up against 89s here a bit, and possibly 88-TT here. I still call the river, but I like the line you took.

Re: A-Qo and A-Jo on SB

I look to limp with either as you don't want to play a big pot out of position with these types of hands. The only way I will raise this is if there are no limpers or occasionally if there is only a...

Re: 3/6 NL Stars hand

First thing I'd recommend is adding a BB to your preflop raise as a result of having the MP limper.

Secondly, I think your flop bet needs to be ~3/4 to pot-sized. By betting so small on the flop...

Re: 3/6(6-max): Hooks

Been running pretty bad. Ran into QQ. I figure this is one of those hands where you're just gonna pay the guy off.

I think I just replayed your hand. And of course, didn't even listen to my own advice, but it worked out for the better.

3/6(6-max): Hooks

Hand is against a 30/10. Seems like his play is pretty straight forward for the most part. No real reads otherwise. Thoughts on the line? Do I look to fold anywhere?

Re: Mildly Interesting Hand

I lead this flop all-day long looking to get all-in on the flop as our hand isn't quite as good unimproved on the turn and we're likely to have our action killed with several cards that improve our...

3/6(6-max): KJ for top two minraised on turn

Villain already had a bigstack when I arrived at the table and I haven't seen too much action from him in the few orbits I've been playing. Is this a good laydown? Would it be different if I had 99?...
