Re: Uggggly spot with AJ -- 400NL
CavMan,
How do you justify a push? I think you need to think about their hand range and what they'll call a push with that kotkis is ahead of.
Even donks can hit trips or a better two pair...

Re: Are you a nit?
I may be too - at least that's what I get in the chat boxes a lot. I don't quite understand it b/c I have the same VPIP, WTSD, and W$@SD %s as the people telling me I'm a nit.
Some people seem...

What do you do? Line checks, BBuddy and unknown
Line check - I'll be damned if I can figure out how I should have played this. Thoughts? I thought it was a clear fold on the end, but does anybody stick around for the s8 draw. I had trouble...

Re: Got min raised and I have the best hand
[ QUOTE ]
If he has a set, Im probably stacking him no mater what I do. If he has the flush draw hes probably going to call a good sized reraise.
SO do you reraise? If if so , how much?
Hi...

Re: AKo, any better alternatives?
I think the two tone flop does make a difference - I'm not sure if villian falls into this category, but some people go crazy on the two tone flop, convincing themselves that the other person is...

Re: I\'m moving down (LC)
Poker Joker,
It seems like a lot of people are advocating playing 4-6 tables on an autopilot mode to build your bankroll back up. While I'm not knocking that, I know when I'm on a bad swing it...

Re: Results
Interesting post Ghaz.
Although in this instance you were ahead, without a read I think the only move is to fold. I've seen too many people bounce on a table, use the fact that nobody knows...

Re: Made my hand, fold again?
I disagree - I would call river and expect to be ahead. To me it looks like a flush that hit on the turn, but not the nut flush, that put a small bet out there looking for a raise, didn't get it,...

Re: Does everybody do this? Make the bad man stop.
I think I played it poorly b/c I didn't take the time to think about what hands the villian - assuming he's not bluffing, which in a multi-way pot doesn't really make sense - could have that would...

Re: (200) Heads up Cash Freezeout vs. LAG?
this is an awesome string. best advice i've read yet on this forum.
If he takes your $200, roundhouse kick him in the nuts, calmly look down at him writhing on the floor, and say, "That's how I...

Re: A3s (Feat. Busted Flush Draw)
I agree with todomski - if you c/r and take it down, you were probably ahead anyways.
I don't like the c/r on the river, b/c if you had a good hand, normally you would have been playing it at...

Does everybody do this? Make the bad man stop.
Party, full table $400 NL
I think that I know that I played this hand absolutley miserably, but curious if other's would have played it differently, and if the villian's holdings are obvious to...

Re: $3/6. AA check
What are you putting him on? It seems that you're allowing him to play his hand well - he'll probably almost always fold KK, QQ, JJ, TT, but he'll call you with any made flush, boat. Maybe you...

Re: Line Check AK NL200 Full Ring
Direct,
I've gotten into situations like this a lot recently and one thing I've noticed is that two tone flops are really a losing proposition.
It's easy to convince yourself that the other guy...

Re: 5/10 AA on a draw heavy flop
WGSteve -
I think this is a clear fold, unless they guy has been really getting out of line. I've noticed this situation is probably the toughest / biggest leak in my game. On a two tone, draw...

Re: 10/20: TPTK 3-handed OOP
It is just me or wouldn't a smooth call and then a raise on the turn be more likely to knock out TPTK? Guess it depends on the player, but when I see something like this it makes the bluffing bells...

Re: 2-5 at the Palms
Not with the cards on the table - put AA9-AAK on the table and I'd be more apt to be worried about aces full.
My read on trying to trap was way off, but now that I've read the results, it makes...

Re: 2-5 at the Palms
I didn't read the results yet (didn't want to biase my response).
I was trying to think what they could possibly have that would make a call out of line, but I really can't.
If one of them...

Re: RESULTS and follow up ???s
LOL - like a few posters have said, you're getting paid off most likely b/c of your bluff before. I haven't played live much, but it seems like people are much more aware of when a big bluff is made...
