Re: kill?
Kill pots vary very much by location.
For holdem, the usual method is you kill if you win two pots in a row (many cardrooms say that the 2nd or both pots have to be a certain size). A variant...

Re: Taking shots is fun (low content)
Yes and no. The overs dont kick in until the flop, so you basically have a 80/160 game with a mini blind structure; assuming everyone has a button. The overs only kicks in on betting rounds (not...

Re: My Hand
Umm, maybe as a math guy I can't count (only prove things), but if a spade comes and there is still money left after a call, you probably have at least 15 (maybe 17 outs). You are folding?

Re: Three wise kings
Who's supposed to bet for you on 5th? /images/graemlins/cool.gif
You clearly must raise on 6th street. It looks as if there are a few draws to beat you. Charge them.
Those are the biggest...

3/6 online shorthanded - out of line?
Hi, this is my first post to the stud forum. I don't get to play stud that often; usually when I do I have played 15/30 at the Mirage as a break from holdem and done pretty well. I do not have much...

Re: How\'s my line on this one?
San Luis Obispo is 5 miles inland on the central coast of california. Probably the best CSU system college is there (Cal Poly - I went there ;-P ), and the weather is great year round. Pismo Beach...

Re: 15-30/k ; kill pot
Astro, do you mean c/r the turn if he is CAPABLE of dropping a hand?
BTW, I think I don't think the flop C/R was my best decision. Not horrible, because I did it because he's betting any two...

15-30/k ; kill pot
In a great game, 7-handed, and I've been running good. I'm in the SB and posting $30 since I've won two in a row, so it's 30-60 this hand.
UTG+2 (LAG) open raises; every else folds (I act...

Re: Capped preflop 9/18
I agree. Many soft games, where a 3-bet happens twice a day, fall into this category.

Re: Capped preflop 9/18
And your hand is good. You have to love LA. With this lignup, a call with AK in the SB for 3 bets is likely correct, but often it would not be.

For some reason it seems that if someone throws a probability problem, a partial differential equation, an analysis problem, etc. I am intrigued and try to solve it.
But my only reaction to the...

When I was activated I played alot in the San Diego cardrooms, with mainly good experiences.

Mike -
Hmm... this is a very read-dependant play. I would probaably call as you did if I checked the turn. You will probably lose most of the time but you only have to be right a very small...

Is the 5-10 game there mainly $1 chips? We had a 5-10 game here for awhile that was only $1 chips and it was nuts. The only 5-10...

1-2-3-4 chip games
Is it me, or is it that the more chips on the table, the better the games tend to be? It seems like 10/20 games are tight (5/10 even worse) while 20/40 games are nuts...
