Re: Kill Phil

I just ordered it on Mason's glowing review of the first 140 pages, but I had (and still have) the feeling that it will be pretty old hat for someone who has spent any amount of time in the STT forum...

OT - The official I hosed Irie\'s Data thread

Well, I burned out on STT's in mid november. I had a couple days of running bad and started a new job (CFO BABY!!) which is pretty draining so I started playing some NL ring, and ran (am still...

Re: Is this standard or spewage?

Buy them gifts. Also try to help out while you are there (like help clean up after dinner, maybe even cook a meal if you have the aptitude). Being a gracious guest is almost always far and away the...

Re: iMsoLucky0 confuses me.

fold.

This spot really sucks.

Pre flop - If you have been in a lag gear lately you may want to pass this. Actually passing this pre flop first in in MP will never be bad with a deepish stack,...

Re: Which Star Wars Character was the best?

I'm sure this has been said a dozen times already, but Han Solo. Without him the first movies would hardly be watchable for people older than 10 (I'm not sure the second three are watchable by...

Re: There\'s a third time for everything

I've only ever folded KK once pre flop, and it was against a tight player who raised and three bet me. No way I fold here against someone who's range is not exactly AA or AA/KK/AK, especially if I...

Re: Best Clash song?

Gorie did this not too long ago.

If I had to pick one, right now, it would probably be "Safe European Home". I could see myself picking "Lost in a Supermarket," "Spanish Bombs," Somebody Got...

Re: Another stud/8 tournament hand: rolled up threes

Before reading any replies, reraise third and do not take your foot off the gas unless really scary boards develop. Once you get raised by the queen, especially with two low card calling, you want...

Re: Poker pro w/ most business savvy

Off the top of my head, Dan Harrington (though you get into the old argument of whether someone who makes the bulk of their money outside poker is a pro, as I believe though am not positive Dan...

Re: Trip Report: Marotti\'s Left

[ QUOTE ]

Far and away, the play of the night goes to an unnamed way-too-solid-for-this-game type player who is in the BB to Marotti’s right. Marotti and I decide to execute the expert...

5) getting someone to pour off piles of stack when you have one pair and it's good is an artform. it is the artform that this thread is a tiny fraction of.

leehrat,

I think you're way overestimating the personality present in a corperation like BofA. If anyone steals the money, it will be the teller or other employee, not the company.

I guess I'm not sure that we have defined 'real hand'. Checking behind the turn for pot control with vulnerablility certainly. Checking behind to enduce a bluff is the other avenue I...

Re: something to think about if you play the $55s+

Actually quite often. I take this line with one pair hands (even TPTK) all the time unless I am up against a calling station. With a vulnerable overpair I usually wont give a free river, but with...

Mine is defintely garlic. If possible, I like to chop it up and cook it a little olive oil before adding it to whatever I am making.

Others I use/like a lot are oregano, basil, rosemary, and...

diebitter,

I had a tough decision here, but I made it in round one or two since it was obvious this would be the final (or the de facto final if they got paired earlier). I think my analysis...

Actually, they talk about blocking bets a lot more in the MHNL forum.

Seriously though, I wasted two minutes of my life reading the replies to your post (and typing this).

Why are you raising a big split pair into the ace of a player you don't know? Don't do this. Once you know them, and the table, it may or may not be ok, but if it is ok it is usually only...
