Re: Trying to look objectively at an AK decision

I think having you covered his calling range of your push is just too large, why get into a coinflip for no reason. A small raise from a big stack in MP1 seems like a trap, I call.

Re: Income for the big name pro\'s?

http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/archives/showarticle.php?a_id=15020&m_id=65574

If Ted Forrest made 12.1 million in a year of poker it would seem cash games are 95% of their income, not...

Re: $1000+50, First major tourney, ITM, was this ok?

Thanks, I guess it wasn't as horrible as I thought.

A better spot is to steal the blinds uncontested or pick off one of the short stacks willing to call with any two, and if you lose your still...

$1000+50, First major tourney, ITM, was this ok?

This hand is killing me today, yesterday I played my first "big" (at least for me) live event. It was the BC Poker championships. The only event I could afford was the pot limit $1000+50. 400...

Re: $110 Sit\'n\'go satellite, late stage agressiveness?

Re: $110 Sit\'n\'go satellite, late stage agressiveness?

In addition, more generally what range are you pushing/potting with at the 400-800 level?

How about the 200-400 level, 5 handed? 4 handed? 3 handed? From the Button with no limpers, SB with no...

$110 Sit\'n\'go satellite, late stage agressiveness?

I’ve played a small amount of low limit sit’n’gos online and have the general idea, however I’m not completely sure how aggressive to be late, here are a few hands from a sit’n’go last night, they're...

Re: 200 player NL tournament - Advise

Congrats,

I got taken out by quad Jacks half way through.

With a flat payout structure I don't think anyone is going to help you out too much with the other two short stacks, but you have...

Re: Boring Live MTT Hand

I think the variance statment is bang-on, I figured it was 50/50 him having a J, with 1:1.5 pot odds I should have called. I folded, so did MP2 and 3 as they were itching to do. Villian showed A9o,...

Re: Bay 101 Final Table - I need to be flamed (LC)

My first big live cash, it was down to four of us, blinds 10000/5000 antes 1000, soon to be 15000/5000 antes 1500. One guy had half the chips 125000 the rest of us had ~40000 exactly 4 big blinds, I...

Glad I posted this hand, I had a hunch before I did I would be told to bet the turn. I just needed strong confirmation to stop that leak. Thanks.

Re: Easy fold right?

I'd usually bet the pot with a flop like that in position but 4 limpers plus the big blind is too many people.

Raising the turn seems like I'd be leaving money on the table considering I'm so far...

It's simple, openly embarrising someone who clearly doesn't know what they're doing is simply being a jackass, enough said.

The ability to empathize doesn't need to be derived from experience it...
