Re: Concern with Godfather Part II
Yeah, but it's such a great movie that it's hard to tolerate what you perceive as errors. The supposedly solid gold telephone is another example--they toss it around like a balloon.

Concern with Godfather Part II
I love the Godfather Part II, but I've got an issue that's plagued me for years. Right after Michael and Kay's bedroom gets ripped apart in gunfire near the beginning of the movie, the family...

TT v Overcard
Did I miss a value bet on the river? Other problems?
SB was new to the table.
BB was 37/0/0.7 after about 20 hands, so appeared very passive.
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)...

Re: AK vs a blind, line check
Curious what you were thinking on the river. Bluff or value bet? Not sure either works particularly well. The king in your hand sort of kills any bluff value you have, such as against a worse ace....

Re: Betting dummy OESD
The turn bet is fine with me. It's not a particularly strong open-ender because the high end is vulnerable to a higher straight, but the nine looks scary to anyone that doesn't have one, so you...

Looks OK to me. You're probably beat by the bigger straight, but he'll show you trips more than 1 in 9 times.

Re: QQ ugh.
Why are the calling the turn, but folding the river? What are you trying to catch? Either fold the turn or plan to call down. Call then fold makes no sense.

Re: Quick check-up-Too weak tight?
I hate just calling on the flop, except where I can close the action and hold some kind of hand. I'd peal here, looking for a J or 6, otherwise likely folding the turn. I wouldn't call your action...

Re: Standard 66?
I think an ace on the turn looks just as scary to an opponent without one as it does to you. Thus, you can bet with confidence knowing that you're going no further with the hand if it gets raised.

Re: I think I finally learning
Looks good to me. You will fold many aces, plus an occasional ragged 2 or 3 from weak tight opponents.
I didn't read your post from a couple weeks ago but I probably don't bet most A's here. ...

Re: Always autobet after a preflop raise?
After reading the other posts, I agree that raising is better than just calling here. But I still like a fold best of all. Four-handed with a two flush on board I'd wait to pull the raise until I...

Re: Always autobet after a preflop raise?
I personallly like your fold here. The bet came immediately to your left, meaning if you want to peal you've got a couple other potential check raisers to get through.
The two flush on board...

I raise or fold this flop. In this case probably fold due to the cap PF.

Interesting, thanks. I tend to toss the very lowest so that...well I don't know exactly why it just seemed right. Maybe I need to defend them all.

Defending the BB
When a typical SB tries to steal, what unsuited Aces do you defend with and how? I typically reraise down to A6, almost never call, and fold small aces. Does this sound like a reasonable strategy? ...

Re: \"weak\" two pair in huge pot
Closing the action I guess not. You'll luck into it somewhat more than 22.75 to 1, I guess. It won't feel like it when you do it the first 21 times, though.

The postulate is that we are a value betting favorite when merely called. This means our hand has some value. Then we get faced with calling one additional bet. We certainly went from a small...
