Re: river raise?
[ QUOTE ]
Do you expect a 22pfr to 3-bet an UTG raise with A8s here? Do you expect AK to cap the turn? These both seem close to me, but I'm not sure they do.

What hands do we check/call and what hands do we check/fold?

This probably isn't optimal, but against an unknown, I'm seeing a showdown nearly always. I might check...

Re: 3-6 heads up. Who bets on the turn here?
Those folding middle pair to a turn raise in a blind battle, shame on you. The BB would have to be the most passive nit in the world for me to fold there. If I was BB there, I'd definitely pop the...

Re: checking or betting here?
I like the turn bet. They'll often muck or you can check behind on the river. You'll often beat KJ-QJ.
However, I'd need a special read to call the river bet.

Re: Underpair with 2 overcards
I'm pretty surprised a river value bet isn't being considered more. These guys are bad and will pay off with just about anything. The Ts doesn't matter that much. It's a lot less likely to pair...

The lamest thing is I'm home for Christmas and can't remember my neteller account # to deposit chips into stars. Otherwise I'd almost definitely do this. I'll swap $50 on party with someone. PM me...

Re: Results
Further evidence that the PFR stat is somewhat overrated. For one, it doesn't account for 3-betting standards, because some 20 PFR guys will open with KJo and 3-bet anyone with it, some will tighten...

Re: Underpair with 2 overcards
I can. I think you have a thin value bet on a lot of blank rivers against those two guys. You have a definite value bet if it's heads up on the river and a blank falls, especially against the big...

Re: I Know 2+2 Wants To Kill Me For This......
Well, yeah.. that makes sense, but I was talking more from 87s position. i.e., say there's no blinds, it's heads up, and 55 "opens" for 1 bet. 87s can't simply say "I'm calling this bet cuz it's...

Re: I Know 2+2 Wants To Kill Me For This......
I think this is fuzzy logic. Your comparing preflop EV in an all in situation vs 3-more streets of betting and strategy. You only calculate the EV of the situation at hand, which Stellar did a find...

Re: Is this dreadful? 44 on Party 3/6
You say that about 44, but a lot of players will raise 66 in that spot in a heartbeat, even though connectors like 87 still has solid equity against you.
It has to be based on reads. 3-betting...

Re: Is this dreadful? 44 on Party 3/6
The 3-bet isn't as bad as everyone is saying, mostly because we don't have enough information. If blinds are tight and he has a 28 WTSD and is generally weak post-flop, it's OK. He could easily be...

Re: 3 handed - yay!
It's 3 handed. You need to play marginal hands a lot more strongly.
Raise the flop. You're good here way too often. It gives you control of the hand, and can set up showing down for 1.5 big...

Re: 999 vs LAG
True is right. The Ev of the river player still depends on the pot size.
And villian doesn't just need a straight. He could also have a bigger set.

Re: 2/4 SH on party & 1/2 on FT
The 3/6 is a rather recent addition, as well. It used to be 1/2->5/10. People thought the 3/6 would f up the 5/10 game, but it didn't.
Personally, I don't think 1/2 -> 3/6 is a huge jump. Roll...
