Re: Curtains hand #2
Curtains made a post stating he wanted to send HH's out and have people pick and post hands from them. Understandably many people quickly responded they wanted to do this.

Re: Curtains hand #2
Well, the only thing I really don't want to have happen is for him to flat call, so I think limping is a bad idea.
I like the 125 or 3x bet (I don't see a huge difference between the two values...

Re: Curtains hand #2
I cannot see putting 125 into the pot vs an uber-lag intending to fold to a push. This seems very bad to me.
So, since we decided to raise I have to think we are calling this push.
Having not...

Re: Curtains hand #1
Perhaps I am being dense, but why isn't a re-raise possible?
Curtains raised 50
BB raised 115
Am I incorrrect?
-Mike
edit: too slow
Also, if no re-raise is possible I have to call this. I...

Re: odd move at the higher stakes games
I have seen this quite a bit as well at the 55's (not sure if that counts as higher stakes or not).
Against the thinking players this at first glance appears to increase FE slightly.
Against...

One year ago I:
-Was bonus whoring micro limit ring games to build a bankroll.

Re: 1st hand Empire $100, TPTK
One other thought is how much to bet if villain checks the river. Obviously a value bet would be called for, perhaps 300 and fold to a CR push?

Re: 1st hand Empire $100, TPTK
Personally I like the turn check. I agree that it is unlikely your opponent will have many outs and inducing a bluff with a check on the turn is a good play. As always I could be wrong, but I like it...

Re: big draw after min reraise
Why do you want overcards to fold? Don't you have ~18 outs vs overcards? (Discounted some outs slightly.)
The pot bet leaves you so little behind that your opponent must know you are not folding....

Re: big draw after min reraise
I see two options:
1) CR push. You will be called as you are not deep enough to have FE IMO.
2) Bet pot. You are telling your opponent you are going to go broke on this hand. This allows any...

I agree donks or whatever we call them usually think something. However, trying to figure out what it is can sometimes be such a confusing task that we are simply better off not trying.

Remove the word donk from your vocabulary
The word donk is holding me back. I think it is also holding many of you back. The reason is that it is much too simple to consider our opponents unthinking donks and ignoring their play. This is of...
