Re: TD2-7: Getting action with #2.

Passive ass preflop game. Do you usually call on the button with a duece and a seven and draw three after one limper?

Two limpers, definitely. Otherwise it depends...

TD 2-7: Dropping the 8 when I have three of them
Raising 862 here is pretty loose, but works OK at 2/4 (not so much at 4/8).
Here's my thought process on the second draw: once I get three of the 8s, it's most likely that all my opponents are...

TD2-7: Getting action with #2.
I've been bouncing between 2/4 and 4/8. They're much different games.
Villian (UTG) here is fairly straightforward. I haven't seem him raise crap to try to make a break, and he's never caught a...

How dead are my outs? A surprising TD 2-7 result.
Conventional wisdom is that 7's and 8's are more dead than other outs. But against opponents who are playing tightly they are most likely to be live!
Method: Enumerate and count all 2-7 starting...

Very loose 2-7 game. Three limpers and I'm the SB with 2346. Raise or just complete?

You are probably right about the game structure as I haven't played there for 6 or 7 years, but I used to stop in there on business trips to Silicon Valley and the game was a better...

Re: you make the call. Bellagio floor decision
What a horrific angle shoot. (Which unfortunately is all too common in draw lowball games.) The out of turn actor obviously wants to induce a break so he can stand pat with his 9 or weak 8.
I...

Any Garden City Stud/8 players?
I'm in San Jose this week and am planning a trip to Garden City tonight to play the Stud/8 game. Any 2+2ers regularly play there? If you see me, stop by and say hi--- I'm blond, bearded, wear...

Stud/8 tournament hand: trip deuces

Re: 2-7 triple draw question
I admit occasionally playing hands like 337 or 773 from the big blind vs. a single raise, but I don't play them from the SB because of the possibility of a raise from the BB. Paying 1.5 SB is too...

Re: A-5 Triple draw beginner\'s question
I would probably raise from the button. I don't understand why you say there were 5 players in the pot--- the blinds have not yet acted, so there are only 3 limpers ahead of you. It is generally...

Re: Yendi
I had thought that the dealer got to play, so that the other players could try to determine from his action what was appropriate. But I agree that this would be too huge of an advantage.
