Re: Thanks to sfer (kinda low content-ish)
Don't think about profits when making these plays. Overall you won't make more money on that individual hand doing this, reads or not. That's not even the main point. You should engage in these...

Re: JTo UTG against LAG

I decided to play above my BR (I usually play 1/2) to see if I could handle it

Villian was LAGish, rest of the table seemed decent.

Re: Joker\'s 13,000 hand stats check-up
Defend less. Avoid putting yourself in marginal situations if you can. Try being slightly less aggressive at the flop and more aggressive at the river. Turn aggression is fine. Play more hands. ...

Re: AQ offsuit in the SB and a spurious line
Button's loose but not necessarily overaggressive, so I'm not necessarily ahead of him preflop.
The flop cold-call is something I almost never do with TPGK, nor do I tend to overrepresent my hand...

AQ offsuit in the SB and a spurious line
Button seems fairly straightforward here and a bit loose. He'll call down with serviceable hands postflop even though it appears highly likely (From the board and action) that he's beat.
MP1 is a...

AKs in the BB, homogeneous flop, sizeable pot.
Party 3/6 full. I've been getting some big hands several times in a row at this table and took down smallish to small-medium pots each time, mostly uncontested. MP remarked just prior to this hand...

Re: Is river fold correct or Wrong
Nah. Reraising the turn has a high likelihood of being spewage. On the river you have to fold without a good read and take assiduous notes afterwards. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pair+flush...

Re: Donkbet with KK
But I can only protect my hand from the CO at this point if at all. Unless CO has a gutshot or an overcard that he's willing to fold to 2 cold on the flop (unlikely given my read), I felt a turn...

I don't see why didn't raise this raggedy flop for value. Also I feel the best way to punish CO's predilection for 3-betting to represent is to cap him.

Donkbet with KK
CO in this hand is a LAG preflop. Postflop, he loves to represent big hands by isolation raising/3-betting with good as well as very marginal hands. UTG+1 is trying to play back and loosened up...

Villain had A2o for turned two-pair. Which makes sense now given my reads on him, combined with his flop bet and turn check. Thus by serendipity or shrewdness, I ended up getting in the routine...

Re: Flush draw and overcard, check and call flop?
In my earlier days I would usually bet out this flop, what with folding and calling equity and cleaning up outs etc. Nowadays I mix it up. Bet/calling, bet/3-betting, c/calling, c/raising all have...

Further thoughts
My thoughts as I was playing this hand:
Preflop, pretty standard for me. Might've raised though since this was less than 10 players at the time.
Flop, while the betout would be standard...

Re: Read-based line with A9s
I openlimp all day long in EP-EMP with A8-A9s and they've been profitable. The fact this was 8-handed by the time this hand came along might change it to a raise, but it probably doesn't make a...
