Re: Sat bubble play. autocall with AK ?
Personally I would fold, because nobody wants to broke at this stage the allin raise is too likely to be a big pair. I much rather be the raiser in this position.

Re: I have a simple Question????
I'm not sure the origin of the phrase but it means poor player or a poor play by an otherwise good player i.e. "I played that like a donkey"

Re: a fourth street play - $3/6 Stud High
Well the good news the guy in seat 4 played it worse.
I understand your desire to keep the pot small on 4th to reduce the pot odds on the latter rounds but becuase it is a 4 way pot the money is...

Re: Laying down trips?
There are some situations in HL were frankly there is no getting away from the hand if someone has flopped the nuts you are going to pay them off (or outdraw them.) Sure if there is a straight or...

Re: Priced In
I do not know whether if not telling us your hand was intentional but it does make it an interesting problem.
Okay one way of looking at this is that AA v 72 off is about 7/1 pre-flop so if the...

Re: Typical tournament situation ~10BB stack
If by push you move all-in then I wouldn’t with AA,KK or QQ because you are probably ahead and you need to get your big pair paid off, so you don’t want to chase both of the limpers out of the pot,...

Re: Deep into tourny... easy push with AJo ?
The one thing it is'nt is a limp. You need to pick up the blinds so raise, it is just unlucky you ran into a hand but you have to go on the attack when you have less than 10 BB's

Re: Hand from WSOP 2000 NL
If you do'nt maximise the pressure on your opponent here with this flop you should not have called pre flop. All-in, he has'nt got enough chips for a check raise to work and you need to maximise your...

Re: Does Cloutier apply?
There are plenty of better books around than Cloutier's I find it rambling and plainly contradictory. If it is valid at all it is in big buy-in comps with slow clocks and deep stacks. Harrington on...

Re: TT in SB; Short-stacked, 3 limpers to you
No lump it in and hope you double or even treble up. There is very little point in hanging on to the few chips that you have. In this hand they will not be enought to get a drawing hand out on the...

Re: Need some advice on playing QQ on A-high flop
Interesting hand. I would call as he is giving you pot odds to hit a Queen. This also tells him very little about your hand and he might read it as strentgh which could be used latter in the hand.

Re: QQ in the BB facing a raise and a caller
Push and hope. You do not have enough chips to stop and go. The flop bet will might not get an AK out. If you had a few more chips (say 6000) it would be wiser to stop and go because moving all-in...

Your hand is almost irrelevant; you have to judge how genuine the raisers hand is. If he is a frequent raiser then you have less reason to credit him with a hand and more reason to try to defend your...

Re: Check call down AA on scary board?
I do not like this play much form either party other than the 10's have more outs and is the agressor in the hand post flop.
Your decision is on the flop if you think your Aces are good raise...

Re: Hand to evaluate
Brad
Open raising with a pair of 3's UTG is poor play, if this is typical of the standard then a good solid game will take the money.
Calling with marginal hands rewards your opponents...

Pre flop - hate the call even against average players it is a losing play.
Flop - it is about as good as you can hope for bet it raise on the flop.
Turn - If you raise and calls followed by a...

No apart from a complete bluff what are you beating on the end ? Once the Kings are out on the flop you just want to get to the end of the hand without going broke if you want to represent a King...

Horrible position to be in. A small raise UTG is allways a bit suspect particularly followed by a massive raise on the flop but unless your opponent has read your accidental bet as weakness and moved...
