I'm curious for those saying to push in, would your answer change if Hero was holding QQ?
I had almost the identical situation to Hero, just with the different starting hand.
Extra info if it...

Re: How should I play AA utg here?
With the stacks the way you describe, you pretty much had to play it the way you did.
If you limp, or do a 2x raise, it is possible you get called by someone just looking to see a flop for the...

I currently have a bankroll of about 700BB for the limit I play. I don't rely on poker for income, I have a well paying job. I steadfastly refuse to take money out of my poker bankroll,...

Re: Junk top pair in the BB
6 people in on the flop, dollars to donuts someone is playing the flush draw, someone else is probably playing a straight draw, and like you said, raising isn't going to win the hand.
You also...

Re: Weak tight?
I would ask a question back to the original poster:
If you don't call with this hand (and you don't, since you folded), what exactly *would* it take for you call in this situation?

Re: when to fold pocket pair with overcard on board?
I wouldn't have read someone with a King, as I think a King would have raised or check raised off the flop.
Both played pretty passively, like they were on draw hands, or had pocket pairs under a...

I now understand the significance of statistical insignificance
I'm primarily a limit player, but due to the insistence of my friends that "limit sucks", I decided to give nl sng's a shot.
Did a 30x buy in deposit on Pokerstars, with the intent of playing...

Re: standard bubble play?
I would have done a 3x BB in the hopes of stealing, perhaps moving to all in on a good flop, rather than all in preflop.
I just think that everyone is even enough that there isn't the urgency for...

Re: Two bubble hands - PR 10+1
I agree with Stoneii.
Why go toe to toe with the only stack in the game (hand 1) that can take you out?
In hand 2, similar situation, you still have enough chips to pressure the other 2 stacks...

Re: Lies, damn lies, and statistics
There is one thing about tracking/statistics/etc that may not be a factor for Irieguy, but is often overlooked.
Almost everyone that plays poker thinks of themselves as a good poker player... but...

That's a great post golFUR, and very well written.
I could be biased, as I agree with everything you said, and we seem to play a similar style.
