Re: Party \"Verifying my account\"

I'd call them back again and demand to speak to a manager - be polite but indignant; if you spoke to them at 4am last night the head goons probably weren't around so the call center gave you a run...

Re: Party \"Verifying my account\"

That's a new one - did you get the standard Paypro phone call after opening up the wife's account? Usually they leave you alone after that.

Re: $55: Have TPTK and facing a reraise on flop

I hate this spot since it's tough to define his hand, so I'd generally check/call the initial flop bet and see how he reacts to the turn, especially now that the third player has folded. Building a...

I insta-call and expect to see 77-TT almost everytime.

77-TT among other things including A4 and 65o. Yeah, you're ahead here 75% of the time unless I know this guy is...

Re: JJ with flop K-K-3 with 2 diamonds.

[ QUOTE ]
if he smooth called preflop with QQ or AA, is he really comfortable blindly going all in in first position with 2 kings out there? This seems more like an A-Q of diamonds or pp anywhere...

Re: $55 - Ballsy? Stupid? Stupid Balls?

[ QUOTE ]
The raise was 2.5x bb, not minraise.

[/ QUOTE ]

Gotcha, I still stand by pushing preflop. If your raise was 2.5xbb you're investing 21% of your stack, and I really don't want to...

Re: $55 - Ballsy? Stupid? Stupid Balls?

Well to begin with I shove it in preflop with 12xbb's since I'm OOP without hesitation.

Having minraised, once I see that flop I'm thinking BB special and really don't want to invest more. If I'm...

Re: Stars VIP for SNG player

I thought about this as well - caveat is in the FPP store it mentions that "Note: tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable." I'm not sure if the non-exchangeable part...

Re: ($55) QQ - Overpair

Preflop fine, if he's not tagged as an aggro donkey he's got a pretty narrow range here. In the 800 chip tourneys I'll often come over the top OOP so you don't get outplayed by some monkey with ace...

Re: Curtains hand 1: boring pre-flop question

Dunno, in the $22's and $33's I used to bring in suited broadways for a raise in LP but caught a good deal of reraises out of the blinds. Plenty of players at those levels assume a low/mid pair or...

Re: ($22): ATo facing mini-raise from button

Maybe I'm too aggressive in these spots, but unless you have a psycho-aggro image or know this guy to be very tight, I'd shove, and also call a push by him for that matter.

Calling out of...

Re: Two pair, first hand of 55

It's annoying being OOP isn't it! Unfortunately I don't think you can deduce anyone's holdings with a 6-way call fest; even at the $55's plenty of clowns will flat-call a set or higher two pair on a...

Re: JJ, opening hand

Flop - No problem with the raise; at a $55 and under you're getting tons of value from dominated hands - frankly I don't see how the dynamic is changed all that much if you had QQ or KK here either,...

$33 - Postflop: OOP w/AJ scare card on turn

Early in tourney, villain quiet so far, no idea what the open limp is - probably either a low-mid pair or some Gus Hansen crap. Flop: I C/R the donkbet, he calls.

A - Who leads out this turn?...

Re: Interpoker Promotions: No rake, No bonus

This is common practice for them; during two other KK promos from many months ago I was undercredited in each, 4 out of 6 and 5 out of 8 respectively - neither resolved, although I didn't push it.

Party $33, Blinds 75/150 6-handed, stacks rounded off

BB 600
SB 500
BTN 300
CO 1400
UTG+1 2800 <--- me with AKo
UTG 2400 <--- villain, raises to 450

UTG seems solid, range something like...

Re: (55) bluff this river?

Tough one; his preflop call is likely either some broadway combo or low-mid pair. Flop action unfortunately doesn't tell me much - it looks like a WA/WB situation, but since he checked the river, I'd...
