Re: AK line against TAG. What you think?
[ QUOTE ]
yeah you need to let this go on the turn.
I don't think a tag is going to raise the flop with hands you dominate. If he does he's an idiot.
he's not releasing a worse hand here...

I really can't see most decent players holding KQ or AT here. Probably not AQ either.
Best case, he has AK and folds to your check/raise.
Worst case, you just spewed chips all over...

yeah, or i'd fold the flop if the odds were bad for drawing to my 6 outs.

AK line against TAG. What you think?
I found the turn c/r good for a couple of reasons:
- The only hands that 3bet the turn I can safely fold against (AA,KK,set)
- I win at least the same against hands that I have dominated as...

Re: I think I finally learning
I dont like the 3bet preflop because we are out of position.
I just call and very probably just give up on the flop.
As you 3bet I think it is best to just give up on the turn. On the river I...

Re: Q9s, paired board

I am folding this preflop at .5/1. I would raise QTs+.
You should raise the flop, but since you didn't I like raising the turn. You will often at this level get a free showdown, but you...

Re: hmmmmmm
I think there is a couple of possible lines on the flop here.
1)C/R (obvious)
2) Leading this flop allows you to steal on succesive hands. (Depending on my opponent I either lead or go for a c/r on...

Re: I 3-bet turn
Looks perfect to me.
We are very likely ahead.
We charge draws + hands we beat.
We can safely fold to a cap.
We win more if ahead, loose the same if behind.

This may sound weird, but I would check the flop. Aces aren't folding but everything you beat will fold.

So what is the value of bet-folding? You have outs even versus a seven so getting raised is a real cost even if you are never bluffed off the pot.

Re: 2/4 Absolute, QJo in the SB
The problem with your line is that with this board giving a free card is pretty likely.
I am torn between 3-betting the flop and leading the turn or flat-calling the flop and donking a save turn.

Re: 98s SB - 5/10 hand
Read-dependent. Bet/fold is not a bad idea. Problem is that I expect a better hand if called and have to call a river bet.

Re: results
Call this down. He might well have raised the flop with overcards. And AQ-AT is a more likely coldcalling hand than A9,A5,A2,99,55,22.

Re: turn
I`d take the free card here as villains call makes me suspicious of a made str8 (against we have outs). Drawing hands we are ahead of are possible but not very likely (A8,AQ)
