Re: flopped bottom set, 200NL

What an odd hand. As your post suggests, you played this in a way that left you very confused about where you were. I think the only two hands you really need to worry about are 99 and 66. I doubt...

Re: Overpair out of position w/ 4 callers

I'm not ordinarily a fan of the limp-reraise UTG but it seems like an option to consider at this kind of table.

Re: Guy bugging me for money, how do you handle?

I just got stacked by some guy who lost to a guy who lost to a guy who lost to a guy who lost to a guy who lost to you. So, I've lost big time to you. Could you transfer me some $$$?

Re: Jd 4d preflop

What about cold calling raises? I think that there is real potential here as well. I mean, come on, I've seen people raise with stuff like:

AA
KK
QQ
JJ
TT
99
88
77

Re: 97s.

I'm not a fan of naked bluffs when you have "no read on opponent."

Re: a very important 1/2 hand from Vegas last week - did I blow this?.

I agree with B1GFISHY'S approach -- check/call the river, but disagree with his read. I think going quiet here may mean a big hand. In the hand where he was talking he was trying to get you not to...

Calling 10x the BB with suited connectors is going to cost you money in the long run.

Re: The Official Richest 2+2er Speculation Thread

I'm sure the actual answer is someone you have never heard of and who would never, never, do anything to let you suspect him/her.

Re: Semibluff or Chip Spew?

On the flop, as you know, betting 1/4 the pot is useless. It isn't going to fold anyone and MP may well have interpreted it as a naked bluff, hence the c/r.

On the turn, again the bet was too...

Are My Stats All Screwed Up?

I try to keep detailed records of my live play stats but there is something going on that I don't understand. I keep the stats in terms of "pokertracker big bets" per hour (i.e., 2x the big blind)....

Re: Did I Trap Myself? (3-3 PL at the Vic)

Well now I just look like an idiot, but on the flop it was the Ten of hearts. Definately rainbow. For some reason I can't edit the original post.

Re: Did I Trap Myself? (3-3 PL at the Vic)

90% of the time I would raise the pot here on the flop but I was definately trying to trap. Risky, perhaps, but I thought the board justified it. There was no flush draw, only a straight draw, and...

Did I Trap Myself? (3-3 PL at the Vic)

3-3 PL at the Vic. Villain is one of the Vic regulars. Very TAG. Hero is also TAG and Villain knows this. I overheard him discussing my play with his neighbor. Hero has 1700, Villain covers.

Raises to $200.

Clearly, a wa/wb situation. If the former, make him pay to try to catch an A, K or 5.
