Re: first hand of single-table 10
[ QUOTE ]
If you want to raise people out of the pot (to win what, t25?) - raise 125-175.
[/ QUOTE ]
The idea is not to raise everyone out of the pot, but rather to narrow down the field to a...

Re: $22: TT in early levels
[ QUOTE ]
And you talk about extra value from the ability to steal on the flop? I like the idea of knowing whether the 2+2'er in the blinds could have 65o or not.
And please don't even think of...

Re: Party 11 - Make this Call on the Bubble?
[ QUOTE ]
Why will he most likely fold? The bet is less than a minraise and he's getting about 6-1 on the call and he has a huge stack.

This is a good point. I am assuming a...

Re: $22: TT in early levels

I protect my hand by raising. If ppl call with overs I'm ahead on most flops.

But this is wrong. If you raise medium, say 50ish, you will get called by all kinds of...

Re: Party 11 - Make this Call on the Bubble?
With the blinds that large, this has almost certainly got to be a good call. Villain's range is, well, any two I suppose. If the big stack behind you calls that would be a serious kick in the...

Re: first hand of single-table 10

I don't fold all flops with undercards. I fold when I suspect that I'm beat. This villains betting pattern is enough for me to lay down TT.

Re: $22: TT in early levels

I don't mind getting callers when holding TT. Just play some poker on the flop.
I raise to t75 every single time. I don't play the 800 chip games anymore. Obviously it might change the...

It's fine to limp. I'd raise to t60 though.
I'm probably check-folding the flop.

Re: $22: TT in early levels
I strongly disagree witb those who say raise here. In a $22, if you raise to a "reasonable" amount, let's say 50, you will in all likelyhood get callers (which you don't want with TT since the flop...

Re: $22 - 66 UTG on bubble
1. If he's loose and passive then you shouldn't be leading into him with a vunerable hand.
2. If he's loose and passive then you should be able to check it down or call cheap since your hand has...

I'm not completely convinced that it's a bluff after he calls your turn check-raise. In fact, I think that the raise on the turn is a mistake. If you did manage to get him to bluff into you, you...

Re: $22 You make this C-bet?
You don't need to bet so large. You can achieve the same result by betting about 1/2 the pot, and you'll lose less when he has the K.
