Re: I\'m a major LAG
I'm guessing that w/ JJ, QQ, and AK, I'd probably make a raise w/o even considering it, and then end up hating myself when we get all in vs. AA. TT seems really close to 99 in the way I'd look at it...

Re: I\'m a major LAG
Good point that I didn't give much thought due to the general tendencies of these tourneys at this stage. All of you know it's very unlikely to be a limpfest and be 6 or 7 to the flop. I would...

Re: I\'m a major LAG
Ok I think we've come to a consensus that limping behind is the best play. Here is my reasoning for making this very strange preflop fold.
First off, like I said, I haven't seen this guy limp one...

Re: I\'m a major LAG
With these stack sizes, what are you looking to accomplish by limping behind? Getting all in on the 842 flops? Can't much play for set value given MP2's stack size.
Not disputing that you have...

I\'m a major LAG
I have been playing w/ this opponent for a while and he seems to play a normal solid MTT game. I've yet to see him limp and after 200 hands my #s on him are like 11/7. Is this insane?
Party...

Re: Sometimes being a LAG gets you in trouble.
Um reraise preflop obv. Since you didn't, fold the flop the first time around. When the PFR leads for 1/4 pot into 4 people, he obv. flopped the nuts. You're certainly blessed that he didn't this...

Re: three hands against one maniac
Is this for real? Hands 1 and 2? In hand 2, what do you beat? In hand 1, if you're that determined, raise the river or something, she may fold KJ.

Re: stars 300+20
Final table now. Did a terrible job of picking up chips on the FT bubble. This guy on my left was determined to coldcall every time I opened, so that made it difficult.

Re: stars 300+20
Break #3 on the bubble. I'm sitting w/ 30k which is good for 5/19 right now. Hopefully some things go my way here.

Yay! Let\'s talk preflop real quick
Stars $109R and I have about 9500 and the button w/ TT at 100/200 a25. Genoa st raises all in UTG to 1600 and MP, who has been playing a bit too loose and has about 10k flat calls. I was fairly...

I would never 2 barrel bluff you, it's not like you're some donkey calling the 832 rainbow flop w/ QJ /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Re: AK, easy call?
A little tip, not trying to be an ass. Anytime you have 6x the BB and see AK, barring any insane circumstances like a satellite or multiple raises in front of you, get it all in and be happy with...

Re: Hand from Stars $150
I think you have to fold here on the river. He calls the flop when there are virtually no draws out there for him to be calling with. I think you played the hand optimally up to the river.
The...

Re: How much do you hate how I played this?
I would probably bet the turn here for around 6k. His flop call looks like some sort of mediocre Jack or middle pair or non nut (obviously) spade draw. The only way you're getting checkraised here...

Re: Results
With this opponent's stack size in this hand, I think I may have to give it up on a turn blank if he kept the lead. However, if he was deeper and I was feeling frisky enough, I may raise just about...

Results
He checkraised all in fairly quickly and I of course had to call the 1500 more. He had 89s and I rivered a pair of Queens, which wasn't enough. I love his line in this hand and I take it fairly...

Re: Ho Hum River Decision
We've already put 2 solid bets in and he's not going away. Missed flush draws won't call, most 9s won't fold now that they've made it this far. I think it's time to just show it down now that the...
