Opponent have a str at the river?.. Since you have pocket 8 the likehood of him having Q8 goes down quite a bit. If he had KQ he would often have raised preflop.

Actually, this was what i intented to write. I would prefer call-call. You win the most when in front and looses less when behind.

I would give you 3 outs on the flop. 2 for the two 7īs + 1 for str8+flsh.
So you need 14:1 to call.
You need to contract 2 big bets to make this breakeven, which is very likely.
